I respect the sister playing the long game, though I want her to inherit an empire of ash from her evil dad while the boys fuck off with their bodyguards.
Calling it now, Risa had that car bomb go off. She profits the most right now from having the men in her family at their throats. She gets dismissed by everyone but she is the one playing the long game. Chet needs to go away with his bodyguard and get it all out of his system. With enough sex and therapy, he could be reformed. The sugar daddy is rage bait. Pheem deserves his revenge but it won’t make him happy. So I hope Than stays around to uphold justice.
The first two episdes hit right in the feels. Incredibly short episodes but the dialogue is on point. I want a Happy End for them but I can’t even imagine how those two could manage one.
The most fascinating thing is Shen Wenlang feeling violated by this evil omega who forced him into sex… this heat/rut thing goes both ways, apparantly. It’s not like he made a choice to rape Gao Tu or even enjoyed his first time/first heat with an omega. Still, Hua Yong and Gao Tu felt more in control of their facilities, so to speak, at least in the beginning. And when they made their escape after- why were they less affected?
In a way I feel sorry for all of them, except Hua Yong, resident red flag.
Why did the third couple/brothers-not-brothers get so much airtime in the last episodes? We could have used that time better. Truly, I did not care for the guy who staged an SA+cheating scene to show up again like they were longlost friends. Other than that, quite a wholesome ending. Love how the doctor found someone who is all hearteyes for him (if not someone who would introduce him as boyfriend to his godparents but whatever). CC turned into a softie, almost. And it looks like they both found true love. The ending shot was just amazing.
Honestly, Suo Wei annoyed me during the breakup scene. There was absolutely no reason to continue to lie to Chi…
WSW found all the tonics in the fridge, though, so he knows CC spent *A LOT* of time with his mom. And the hospital told him they couldn’t reach her usual contact… as an only son, I would wonder at a certain point who was taking my mom to all the hospital appointments, paying all those bills for her treatment.
Not picking up the phone when the hospital called and forcing things to come to light that way was actually a smart move by CC. Or he was too emo and missed their calls, we will see. But it allows WSW to be the adult he is.
He found a male baby in the dumpster and got himself a son (heir). He might have handed over a female baby.Ultimately,…
People don’t have children so they can inherit their house… sons carry on the family name and in some cultures, marry a wife who moves in with them to take care of the household and their parents. A daughter supposedly moves out and becomes part of her husband‘s family while costing dowry. Hence why places like India and China, for example, favor boys over girls and have the demographics to show for it. Things change slowly but a guy who could not afford/attract a wife finding a boy, in the 90ies, would not be a demon for wanting to keep the boy.
It must have been downright traumatizing for the boy to get handed over to a stranger, forced to consider him his dad, change schools, leave behind any friends, the home he grew up in, anything familiar to him, really… they would need so much therapy. Sure, the lawyer got his baby boy back but the boy lost the man he considered his real dad.
And I got so worried when the boy left to buy the back brace or whatever it was. In a show where babies, kids, teenagers get snatched up just like that, I hope all ends well.
Just thinking out loud here: if anyone finds a baby in a dumpster, isn’t it common practice to bring the baby…
He found a male baby in the dumpster and got himself a son (heir). He might have handed over a female baby.
Ultimately, he did right by the boy, worried about giving him a better education and taking care of the boy while in declining health. But I‘m not sure he would have reached out to the police if he had remained healthy.
CY is acting like a stray cat domesticating itself: always showing up at the clinic, leaving food for his person- and now he has even been to XSs apartment. I fully expect him to move in within the next three episodes.
Guo Cheng Yu: is straight up a stalkerMe: But that's actually just him being a guardian angel and a green flag
The way I cackled when CY was parked on that bench and XS was bemoaning the fact he wasn’t coming around anymore! Like, sir, your friendly neighbourhood stalker is right there!!!
Random RL thought of the day:Can't remember major details of the novel, but the whole thing of XS suddenly thinking…
This 100%. His ex probably told XS he couldn‘t stop himself because he was too horny/into XS. And now to XS, the only reason why CY did nothing is because he doesn’t like him, maybe even doesn’t really think he is attractive, compared to CC. CY has only 12 eps left to convince XS he is good (if scheming) husband material.
People without self control come to comment sections and are then surprised they see comments on recent episodes. Never mind this is based on a novel, anyways.
