and I think (as I keep saying with rich themed makjangs) this tried too hard to replicate sky castle, like the naggy loud daughter, the poor unfortunate rival, the rich kid gang, the teacherness. but it's more crazy

Yoon Hee was also crazy and that was the only thing I appreciated xD (beside the awesome queen power they all have)

m.. mi... middle school! what! their kids are in middle school? is there a time skip or like did they just make 24 year olds act as if they are 14?! xD rona was the only one passable as a teen, but even she's just fit enough for highschool.
plus the other highschool flashabks were as funny xD

and, 3 parts! it's cut into 3 parts xD honestly many side characters were unnecessary and it had a little too many flashbacks (this should've gone to TvN, I don't trust SBS anymore)

they are all just a bunch of loud obnoxious psychopaths that do not appreciate what they have and still want to steal what others have ;/

tbh I think they could've lived without the old guy in his office, like it would've added more tension if we didn't know what "technically" was behind this force while the unsuspecting team got attacked and searched for it

for krystal, I'm always on board "female lead saves male lead" she was such a total badass hero trying to protect her love interest ;3

and this is the only "cold woman/warm man" type I approve, not the bully fl who keeps ordering the guy around and the ml who's a naive pushover ;D

I love how JDY breaks stereotypes, also in return so does krystal, I really liked the ending part of ep3.

JDY's character is sweet but he's stubborn and won't take the injustice against him. he's friendly and a not a total badass high rank, but he still likes to have people to boss around. he's so open about his feelings that not only everyone around him can read the emotions in his eyes, but he also expresses his feelings right away. basically I love him ;D

if this was a romance it'd have been better than tkem (ie they weren't dna related, cuz tkem's romance was horrible, the ml was way too obsessed and the fl looked money hungry) but since it wasn't a romance and still tried to be it got worse xD

WDH and SJ were like Amber in when I was the prettiest, I can't believe the same writer made them, 99% of the credit for them goes to the actors carrying their characters well rather than the writer being thoughtful and smart

if we take away those 2 variables (romance/WDH+SJ) storywise both were a mess. one tried to make the ml the glowing diamond and the other wanted to be dark and twisted and both just felt cheap and a waste of time

so like, from what I gathered, they ended it with hints of romance between DNA mom and son while his actual mom was also alive?
and they reset everything but the ml still existed in that time line? what a cheap horrible ending xD

\honestly they should've just made kim hee sun and his mom 2 different actresses xD or they should've changed her hairstyle/color and cgied a bit of her features so they had the "she looks like his mom" and the "she's not related to him by blood/dna" in one go xD

more than incest it was a cheap fakeout to add the only thing kdrama writers know how write, ie "misunderstandings and cliche romcoms" ;D
they should've just fully made this a romance tbh atleast maybe then people would've loved the chemistry enough to not focus on the empty plot (cuz all I see on insta was talk about the "couples") xD

tbh this shows how writers only plan for like 4eps when they present their work and actors/production companies agree to it and then the writer just messes up the rest of the work becasue they didn't plan it ahead ;/

the wife being always a step ahead is great but the writers showing it as if she's lost and then do a big reveal as if it's a twist got boring really quick
like now I know she's "smart" but will they keep the same dance?

I believe there was a childhood connection. tbh 95% of all romance dramas have a past connection it's just that this chose to make it from a few months earlier xD

resolution and planning = 1 (if not -10)

I wish this was more like Quartet, the story forgot about music and became one hot mess of angst and star crossed lovers..

I like makjangs too, with sky castle I started it late and caught up almost immediately xD but with TWOTM, even though I loved it I was burned out by the last eps and I wasn't even binging xD

in some ways, all the guys were just unworthy of attention, I did love male centered slice of life like prison playbook, but in GF they were all middle aged ahjussi's who were unworthy of their wives and always chased after younger women ;)

ep4's end promised a full on makjang ride so I think MDW would be better week to week otherwise it'd be look too crazy with a binge xD

yeah, I liked this better from ep3 and 4 when they showed the fls pov.

tbh that's why I think GF failed, they didn't make it female centered enough and it just got boring. though I also love the main actor here, if it was 100% his pov I'd have dropped it

I'm known around mdl for always criticizing female characters, but tbh as long as they are "different" I like them, I don't need sweet female characters, or ones who could fight, I just like diversity ;)

I liked the 2nd ep more than the 1st and I can't wait to see how Da Jung is added into this, I liked her ;)
