I actually liked their easy friendship but I can't get over the fan thing, it's like kdrama writers are scared of a relationship without any type of "past connection" ;/

I feel like the synopsis needs an upgrade, they are not really "students at a prestigious music school" anymore they all graduated, Chae Song Ah is an intern and the majority of the drama is about her work

I am not talking about his dream or what he does there, but the way he feels around his friend who is more "advanced" in his dream.
plus the fact that his mom is his friend's housekeeper is obviously there for makjang and tension between the guys, like when Hye Joon finally advances, his friend might be the one who's jealous and ready to sabotage him? that's just the basic story line in dramas like this

I'm just giving my review of the 1st ep ;D I didn't say "bogum" is the problem, I'm saying they didn't focus on the fl compared to both mls + the mls whole families ;) this is not a good sign of the writers interest in making a solid fl
I really hate the love hexagon, but I really love the relationship between the Chae Song Ah and Park Joon Young (also I just love joonyoung as a guy ;D)

I also don't like that she's his "die hard fan", I will never stand behind fan to lovers, it's too weird, like they are giving the ml too much "worth" compared to the fl

well I don't see it as "she thinks she owns him/she's forcing him to like her" tbh, she sees that he has something she needs, ie the card, and she's interacting with him to get it. he was the one who went to a "scientist" with new never seen before technology so of course she's be dying to get her hands on it -it'd have been the same if she was a guy tbh.
I hope this drama ruins the image that every 1FL and 1ML need to have a romance together, it's 200% obvious there's nothing between them, but people need the stability of knowing who ends up with who, like in When I Was The Prettiest they added a 3rd fl and apparently people went crazy that the 1FL might not end up with 1ML and they are demanding for the 3FL to be removed ;/
I hope for no romance at all, and I see they removed the genre from here so everyone should think of this as a world with no love xD
it's too male based, they talk too much, they don't have real investigation just going around looking for bodies, and sadly the female characters are too generic.. plus the ml is like the was it love guy, overall it all just feels flat, ie something is missing (no pun intended)
I see Park Jin Gyum got his hotheadedness from his mom xD I'm glad there's more to her than the docile Park Sun…
kim hee sun is also acting out several different age groups, 1st of she might've been 35+, then 2n we have her 18 years older (or 55 as PJG says) and 3rd we see her as a 32 year old which is her act first/think later personality now we see that she's going for a 4th and play her 22 year old self too so basically she needs to make each character different enough to distinguish between + if Yoon Tae Yi/Park Sun Young are not the same person she's basically playing 2 characters in their different ages.
overall I'm happy with her character unless she starts beating people up which is actually what the ml does but he's excused.. tbh as a character I don't like this "can't feel" thing every male lead gets + he was exactly the same all throughout his age developments, though I'm not disrespecting Joo Won's acting but the guys got it easy to be labeled they have a "medical" condition so it's ok for them to be rude

both Yoon Tae Yi and Kim Do Yeon overstep their boundaries tbh, KDY is over obsessive with PJG, getting annoyed just because a woman picked up his phone as if she's his girlfriend or something and afterwards she got hostile towards YTY just becasue she "looks" like PJG's mom which is not a friendly worry... YTY did not ask to look like his mom nor is she taking advantage of that part so KDY's just being rude. also both of them grabbed and "fought" over PJG and that just proves both are ready to pick a fight and I only like KDY when she bickers with YTY otherwise she's too overbearing

indeed with about time I was really excited and I even love Lee Sung Kyung but the whole thing was badly written xD
