why can't drama writers make a FL like her instead of the same old same old ;/
and in the next ep she gives him a gift that literally says "I thought of you all throughout my honeymoon" ;/
I have no idea what it was but it felt artsy, I like that mood
if the roles were reversed, ie the fl was the 500 year old goblin and the ml was the overly cute teen, I'd have had the same exact problem
I've seen my fair share of fantasy age gaps and books and usually they don't bother me as much, but this is a diverse space and everyone is allowed to have and share their opinion ;)
honestly, with friends fighting over a girl atleast one or the other tries to back down then get super competitive and act like she's an object, but here she has even less worth and her opinion didn't matter..
jin outright told hwan you're opinion doesn't matter you are a child, and he told yeji the thing she wanted to hear the most, not "I love you", not "you make me happy", not "let's start a family together" but a "be my anchor and someone who I come home too", and a "come join our family that I know you desperately want becasue you've been lonely all your life"
and like yeji is accepting it becasue if she can't be with hwan becasue "it's immoral" then she needs any other way in... atleast she didn't marry the dad ;/
I'm also 99% sure yeji shot her dad and her mom took the blame because *add more melo here* she can't remember from the shock ;/
jin is a total psychopath, a sociopath? a narcissist? he's telling the story of the cliff as if he wasn't the one who cut the rope and honestly hwan is not 5 to tell him to forget about it this fast, tbh he's gone on more dates than jin and yet jin's the one acting as if he has any right just because he's "older" ;/
she's just as bad tbh, she keeps dragging hwan and I'm 99% sure she's being like soe kang joon in that weird drama special..
honestly I can even see the characters frustration extraordinary you shadow style xD
the fact that both are going through the same thing might seem poetically ironic but it just feels like a lack of creativity/the writer thought "everyone has love triangles why not make 2!!" ;/
plus I hate the recaps and the never ending repetition of the kiss scene
also I teared up when I heard chen's ost TT_TT he's voice fits this perfectly, it's warm and fuzzy ;)
so like even if the same thing happened to her as a younger character she'd have probably found her own footing with a less desperate look
at the end they gave a hint that he wanted to try again after he "grows up" and I was on board with that ;)
you're better off, I don't recommend xD
