quick question: still loving it? I'm trying to gain some opinions coz I might keep it in dropped or try to finish…
well I'm nothing if not objective, so there are a few points to it that I actually thought about writing a 2nd part for this article (if it ends well) ;p
for one thing the human connection and the friendship between moonyoung, kangtae and sangtae is actually beautiful and really well done and they stuck with their original characteristics well (you know unlike tkem or any romance that "changes" the personalities after falling in love, ie jerk becomes nice and such)
on the other side I'm really worried about the so called "mystery", they handled the angst well but I'm really really worried they will cross the line between angst and makjang, though I don't want to spoil anything ;D also, though some side characters like 2nd fl's mom and Jae Soo are great and I do like some of the patient stories, and their editing is one of the best I've ever seen, I feel like they didn't fully capture that depth well enough. and then some of the other side characters like 2nd fls romance is kinda just a filler so ;D
I still think this is the best drama I've seen in 2020, I've not cried emotionally for a while now and I'll most probably give it a 10 unless they messed up the ending xD

being on mdl for this long I found out the best solution to everything is to ignore them (instead of telling others not to do it, becasue there are too many people and most would probably not see those posts xD)
it's not even about dramas everyone watches, like the most recent was Unfamiliar Family and I just said I thought the fl choosing to become a "mistress" after being cheated on made no sense and people acted as if I insulted their family ;/
I find hype enjoyable and if it's about a drama I'm not going to watch then it's actually pretty easy to ignore xD though I hate "overpraising", it's a branch out of "hype" but it's when people just keep talking about how amazing and unique something is and when you criticize it they attack you and your judgement for not "understanding" it like they did ;D
lol they kinda surprised me at the end even though the head nurse was acting EXTREMELY suspicious xD now are they revealing her as the mom or as a sister? I'd actually have hated it if they made Joo Ri's mom (or even Ji Wang -some writers are that crazy) as moonyoung's mom, so this is fine I mean this drama is not a "mystery" so they never tried to decisive us about what happened in the past and it wasn't a find the mom. honestly though the moment she creased the dad's hands and told kangtae "it was nothing" when the dad told her about the past I was 200% sure that's where the writer was going xD
I liked the revelation of the past moonyoung mom's face, she really fit the vibe they showed us all along, and she also kinda looks similar to young moonyoung and kim dami :)
I thought moonyoung was suspicious that her dad killed her mom I didn't think she saw everything ;( or that kangtae's mom was the housekeeper, I did think she said something to moonyoung's mom about the way she raised moonyoung, that's even more heartbreaking than the murder, the fact that she was killed becasue she was worried about moonyoung
honestly, even though I try to only add people with similar taste to my friends list I'm perfectly fine if we just share the same watch history rather than the same views and ratings
tbh I have found a friend who's like 90% compatible with me here on MDL but we still disagree and that's great, because otherwise we are like the same person and that's creepy xD
there are many active friends here on mdl like poia, kate and even Minarii too, and we are more likely to disagree on our opinions/ratings even though we watch the same exact things xD but we are all civil and they are great people to interact with.
in this list I agree with 6 of Jeana's ratings/views and 2 of Minarii's, so even when people disagree there's no "right" or "wrong", also don't look at my ratings for K2 ;) this article sheds light on an important matter, it's okay to not share the same opinions ;p

even though their family bond was sweet I kinda wish they weren't related and just found comfort in each other regardless of the destiny makjang move "he's your long lost son/love" ;D

I kinda wished Kang Yeo Rin would join them in their grudge fightings ;(
the thing I loved the most about ep12 was how after GT found out the truth he didn't say "omg so my mom's killer, the enemy of my family is MY's mom" but he said "I don't want MY to find out because it'd be more heartbreaking for her" ;( also MY really cares for ST and they make the sweetest friends. for MY, if GT wasn't involved she'd not bother with the picture but she saw how much it meant for ST so she said lets take a pic for the book :( and when she talked to him about the "fake smile" usually she'd just say it like "your fake, everyone's fake" but she genuinely gave him advice about being happy ;(
usually when the "inevitable breakup" happens it's either becasue someone disapproves of them or the mains think the other one would be "better off" and randomly leave country for 3 years, but here it wasn't just a petty fight, it was like KT said "I need to be there for my brother" so he can't leave him and choose his own happiness and love, but then he said to MY "you should be here for me" and it wasn't a selfish request like I'll only look at my brother, you only look at me". he finally understood that it wasn't a either/or, it was an AND ;( and they chose to talk it out and find a solution ;(
I loved how they didn't magically change. Like MY telling KT she had a "talk" with ST and KT was like "so you threatened him" xD Also that hug before the kiss!! It kinda looked like it hurt alot even irl, but it showed KT's final wall breaking.. and when he said count to 3 and MY thought he was talking to her but he was trying to hold onto that final brick before he "lost control" :) that was both touching and fangirl worthy moment :)
The dad said MY' mom killed KT's mom and he killed her. Now they showed a woman's silhouette talking to sangtae and the butterfly at the end....... though I mean I doubt her mom pulled a parasite and hid in the basement for 20 years xD
When sang tae looked at the picture and said "he's happy" my heart broke! And that lunch date where he tried to be the "adult" and take care of kangtae! But then when he accepted moonyoung!!!! T_T
I'm so happy they dealt with his jealousy in such a realistic manner. They didn't go behind his back or force him to accept it but they talked to him in a way he could understand ;(
ppl never bothered me until the king eternal monarch, it was like an advertisement disguised as a drama ;/ they gave the products more one shots/close ups than the actors, and the plot/ sets were written just to fit the ppl... in normal dramas the actors grab a drink and it's ppl or maybe say "ah this is refreshing", but in tkem they had lines like "this drink make your life magically better just for holding it", "your not rich or popular enough to have this, it was made for kings" or some nonsense like that ;/
double wrist grabs drive me crazy! it's like these things have been around ever since dramas started, but they don't go away!! it just happened in Was It Love and I just dropped it becasue the fl stood there while the two guys had a fight to feed their egos ;/
I hate when they give the 2nd lead more time to develop a love line but then boom the fl realizes she loves the other guy who she spent half a day with ;/
