I've been thinking about writing my opinion of age gaps. For me there are 3 main factors: Actor age, Character…
I love urban fantasy books, and in one of my favorite books the Mercy Thompson series, the fl was 30+ and her love interests were both werewolves and one was 100+(I can't remember maybe even 500+) and the other was actually somewhere in his 50s or 60s but both looked 30ish and it never got weird because everyone was "mentally mature" though the 100+ one was slightly obsessed that's why she didn't end up with him xD

I've only watched the 1st "4" eps and I'd say the plot is super duper cliché and the characters are slightly…
tbh if it weren't for jisoo I'd not have started it either but his my baby ;D

I feel like I'm watching something the writer inside extraordinary you wrote. if I look at this as a comedy I…
I'm 100% sure yeji likes hwan BUT *add melodrama* he's a kid and she feels weird/guilty for liking him but she's not refusing him because she doesn't want to "hurt" his feelings so she's just selfishly dragging him along and she wants him to be there for her..
she could literally just say "I don't see you that way" but all she says is "I want you to stay as my student"

anyway *add more melo* and jin is the ONLY "grownup" guy around and he's nice to her when no one ever was, and she "needs" a stable male around her becasue otherwise how could she function with her skinny ankles (that's what he said)...
and so *add even more melo* and she'll get married to jin so she doesn't lose that familial bond while she just keeps hurting hwan.

I feel like I'm watching something the writer inside extraordinary you wrote. if I look at this as a comedy I can take it ;D

yeji is acting like a 0_0, dear caught in the headlights? a blowfish? they've made her so so naive and innocent and pure that she's trying hard to pretend she's a baddie who says things that just makes her flustered.
and then in contrast jin is such a playboy creep that knows she's too "naive" so he plays her by trying to pretend to be sincere.

honestly I can see right through them but everything from the plot, the characters to the dialog just annoys me...
also is she like 21? and hwan is 16-18? I mean give me a break the age gap is not that big ;/

Where do you got this ?
soompi, when they were announcing the casting news, it was also mdl's synopsis for a while that's how I remembered ;p

for real?? i knew there would be a time skip because they start out with a different timeline but dang she married…
that's what it says, I think he's going to die or get in an accident then comeback by eps14-16 so he can shake them up when they finally decide to date xD

Hi Is this drama worth watching?
I've only watched the 1st "4" eps and I'd say the plot is super duper cliché and the characters are slightly annoying
But the acting is nice ;)
On When I Was the Most Beautiful Aug 27, 2020
this was the original synopsis;

"The series conveys the message that everyone has the right to be happy and centers around a love triangle between two brothers and a woman named Ye Ji. It tells the story of Seo Hwan who reunites with the woman he loves when she becomes his sister-in-law. He met the the student art teacher Ye Ji before his older brother did, and he brought her to his father’s workshop in order to impress her. Things didn’t go according to plan, however, as she got close to his older brother instead. After the disappearance of his older brother, Seo Hwan reveals his true feelings for Ye Ji."

I guess now it's a spoiler because it reveals that the brother is going to "disappear" and hwan will finally get his chance to confess xD

ohhh wow! such a great article!! :D I sooooo agree with all of them!! especially the good and the bad! because…
as expected of my orange chingu ;D

I need to write one article about how and why I hate some characters, which is always the fact that they are badly written or they suddenly change like the fl in TKEM too ;p

I made the list after many many discussions about age gaps with people and I really need to have a solid summary so it doesn't seem like I'm only against older men ;)

the good ones are even my top favorite couples ;D
indeed it's the problem of writers and how they represent the gap! that's a simple answer to everything!

thanks thanks❤~~ now it's your turn xD

This stuff doesn't bother me much (my parents themselves are ten years apart and now that they are in their late…
indeed in real life I also know of people with 5+ age gaps and as long as they are happy (and legal which should be 18? or 21??) it's totally their business.

in Pinocchio they did know they weren't related and no one (even the grandpa) thought they were, but yeah growing up together like in her private life where I thought the 2ml was her brother until he suddenly showed that he was interested in her I freaked out xD
with boss x employee sometimes it does get annoying, like in what's wrong with secretary kim I actually hated how he used the fact that he was her boss and like in the end she gave up her dream becasue he wanted her to work for him ;/

yeah lee jae wook is like a chameleon, he wears a uniform and he looks like a highschooler, he puts on a suit and he can look 30 ;D

Great article, I really love the breakdown. It's always interesting reading other peoples opinions, especially…
thank you, I too appreciate level headed contracting opinions as long as no one takes it personally or attacks xD

actually with the point you are making -which is correct- it reminds me of an ep in immortal songs where they had 2 real age gaped couple with one having only a 3 year difference and the other had a 10 year age gap, and in both the women were older but in the 1st couple the woman was calm and even "cold" looking while her husband had a more hiphop boyish charm and it made their age gap look bigger while in the other the woman was sweet and naive and her husband looked cold so it actually looked like the husband was the older one, and like they were both happy with their lives so the real lesson is age doesn't matter and other peoples opinion also doesn't matter ;D

YES, thank you. Everyone keeps commenting about age gaps, particularly amongst actors; but that's not so much…
in this day and age tbh we have 30+ year olds pretend to be highschoolers and teens pretend to be grownup ups and that's part of acting, but sometimes the writer mess it up ;p

Love this article! Really represents what I have been feeling these days when people comment about the age gap…
AW thanks ❤❤

for once it'd have been better if they got separated after her marriage and reunited after her divorce xD I also love friends to lovers, but still it didn't work out right

Haha, same, I never rewatch stuff! Your distinctions are a bit confusing though. We simply referred to the worlds…
lol I didn't read much through the comments xD the "1st original" world had brown tones and the other one had a blue tone and in the last ep everything was naturally colored so I went with white ;p
I used it alot on my friends feed and it's a running joke kinda like korea and corea ;p

Title Train
tbh I loved and hated this drama, the plot was great, the acting was awesome but the time management was bad, they focused too much on the predictable killer and the last ep they revealed too much in too little time, basically
plot = 9
writing/development = 5
directing = 10
mystery/killer = 1

I've told myself that it's prob her not willing to see his actions as interest towards her due to her being his…
or bad writing xD it's just simple for her to say, you are a great student and "friend" zone him.
and for jin yeah it's like she's "finally" getting a male attention, and it's fine for her to try and see where that leads tbh though the circumstances of her lonely life making her go to him is ;/

PLUS Yoo Teo?! double YES!

I get how she doesn't see Hwan as a "love interest" becasue he's a highschooler, but like everything he did screamed "I have a crush on you" so she should've talked with him instead of those cheesy lines "no one was ever nice to me so it's like eating a new sour fruit that you don't know how to react to" ;/ and she most certainly shouldn't have taken those flowers to him ;/

it's like when she texted Jin back "I don't have any drinks" was obviously flirting, and going with him to the beach, so she's not clueless about love. so like someone offering you a ride, someone feeding you, talking to others so you don't quit your work, telling her to play hooky, taking her to a lake and creasing her face is most certainly a "sign".
