Hotel del Luna could have been better off without the romance for real, I got more brother and sister vibes more…
but I liked them xD I liked the easy friends to lovers wibe and she had too much resentment for the other guy and he had too much guilt
I do think the writing could've been better but I liked them as a couple :)

Another great article, my friend ❤Your comments are totally on point, I agree with almost all of them (cough…
Aw thanks ♡♡♡ (did you not like MS's coupling? xD)

Student teacher can never go right, the 2 Japanese dramas I dropped recently both had them and one was with a 50 year old guy :/

Another very bad one: Prime Minister and I. I don't mind age gap as long as they're both at legal age, and the…
I didn't even watch that one, it looked too awkward

I enjoyed Goblin for different reasons, but that romantic relationship was just so ugh no for me. Not only she's…
I did not know MLFTS was an age gap xD I should add it to my list, though hmmm the actress was older but the male character was "older", I like that xD

i've never watched flower boy ramen shop but i've seen clips of it and this is the first time i'm discovering…
lol I watched it as part of my initial noona romance shock/interest ;p
I don't remember much but I think there was no time jump and he starts working/hanging out in her restaurant as a highschooler

lol, I have a lot of take on that one xD (though I'll ignore the bad writing at 1st)for now she seems to be 21…
he did get the girl in my first first love and the original synopsis of WIWTMB was that the brother is going to disappear xD

I've gotten replies on my comments from 5+ years ago so it's fine xD

I've not seen that one yet though I'm planning on writing a 2nd part for this article soon ;p

Great article! Agree with this so much. It always bothers me when a minor or barely legal character gets in a…
lol, I have a lot of take on that one xD (though I'll ignore the bad writing at 1st)

for now she seems to be 21 becasue they said she's about to graduate (though with korean entrance exams she might be 22-23) and he might be 16-18, so their age gap is about 3-7
and for their "romance" she's actually being a rational person and she doesn't agree with his love confession and tells him "you are only a student to me"

now bad writingwise, she doesn't tell him "I don't like you" and she pretends she didn't notice it until many people including the ml tells her about it becasue it's a melo and she does like him and she doesn't want to lose him, but still she doesn't act on it.
and more bad writingwise, there will be a time jump and she'll have a relationship with the brother until later on I guess, but I don't know if hwan'll leave her and come back again later when he's maturer?
tbh if there wasn't the whole love triangle and melo I think I'd have liked them as an age gap

What's your take on Something in the Rain? I think Jung Hae In was 31 but pretending to be in his 20s in the show
was he pretending to be in his 20s? I have them on my list https://kisskh.at/list/PLpW0a81 but in my research he was 31 in the drama and she was 35?

still I didn't find any chemistry so I dropped it xD I also found the fact that he was her friend's younger brother slightly weird

I seem to only not like it so much if the female is older than the male but that's just what I felt my whole life.…
in some ways I actually appreciate kdrama noona romances, before I was also like you (though I'd still have issues if the guy was "too" old) but now if I hear a real life woman marrying someone who's 9+ younger than her, I'd be like good for them xD

Unpopular opinion but I didn't hate Goblin's age gap and mostly ignored the romance between them so that might…
the problem with doctors was that the actor looked too old even as a "youngster" xD

I feel that this topic brings sooooo much drama in the dramaworld and I know that I myself was part of some internet…
in some ways the only reason I'd be against actor age gap is that the industry is always choosing 20+ year actresses becasue everything above is "too old" for women, while they are fine with casting a 40+ actors even if their counterpart is in their 20s

so like I'd appreciate more 30+ actresses around becasue there are many talented and gorgeous actresses.

I have more examples I didn't added, but in most dramas that aren't really romance focused they would have a 30+, 40+ year old complicated male character and then they add the super naive 20+ year old for.. youthfulness? pretty face with no real character or depth? so it doesn't take away from the male lead's "awesome" characteristics
