it is high quality production, the cinematography was beautiful, but I think they really lack with their characters..

in some ways, she's telling geunsoo to stop his false hopes because at the end he'll get hurt.
and as greenwatch08 said, saeroyi is wavering, and he tells her exactly what she told geunsoo, but she dealt with the rejection and she's fine with getting her own feelings hurt.
she'd have been worse if she told geunsoo to "keep it up" maybe she'll change her mind ;P

sadly it seems no one is ripping the subs, since it already aired on tvn asia, but I guess we'll have to wait regardless ;)

I hope this continues as friendship and they won't ruin it by turning it into a reverse heram xD

though the story was silly, the pace was slow, the development was lacking, and the comedy was too "in your face", I kinda do wish more historical dramas follow historical movies pattern and stop the usual palace politics ;p
also, I'd like more vampire genre in kdramas ;)

of course they wouldn't have romantic relationship xD I mean, I used to read vampire books, also the "older sister's friend" kind of romances, and sure they probably were low on time to redo the "they meet again as adults" thing, so it's cool I guess.

but I was kinda always wondering, HYX met LZW as her older self, and in the middle they both met as "same aged friends" for the majority of their relationship, and later on LZW was "older", so I kinda wondered how their relationship would've been like in the aftermath ;)

you know though, HYX had contact with WQS parents, so did LZW. in some ways both got attached to the other two's parents/family, and since both "other two" had the same "fate", it felt sad that no one talked about him

I certainly did enjoy their message, and I most specifically liked how CYR was helped through it not because of MJJ's "love", but because of what HYX said to her.
I just feel like the ending was rushed in a way that was like "HYX and LZW found each other so it's a happy ending".. so basically I wanted more xD

it's slightly creepy that they were always together since he was 18 and she was 8 ;)
I kinda wish they lost contact and met again atleast xD

poor WQS... I guess another wish would've been for LZW to search and help WQS too ;(

so his superpower is reading minds by touching their fingerprints? I remember reading a book like this called Echo(?), though the fl used to be able to read minds even from fingerprints on objects..

I feel like a drama that starts with a main with memory loss is like an excuse to build the character as the drama goes with no real backstory..

so wait, that's 28 year old Li Zi Wei with 18 year old Huang Yu Xuan? that opens up so many questions! did they keep in contact all of those years? where's 28 year old Chen Yun Ru?
would 18 year old Wang Quan Sheng be dead in this timeline?

I was honestly ready to atleast give it a 9, but that just made it seem too weird and rushed.
which is the thing they lacked in, they thought people would not notice their subtle hints or they might forget them so they kinda just shoved them in our face..

I actually thought alot about how to rate this. at some points I wanted to give it a 1 and just drop it.
for a while, after ep6, it was in the 7 range, by ep 12 and half of 13 I was actually ready to give it a 9 or 9.5, but I think the end result is that, they had a great plot/idea but the excision was lacking.
I think, if this was a kdrama, the process would've been smoother, but I'm kinda sure the ending would've been, different xD

you know, signal, voice 1, tunnel and some movies I guess.

it's been so long but as you said, there have been way too many mediocre crime thrillers that for a while I thought I was the one in a crime slump xD

I actually only enjoyed watcher for SKJ's performance, honestly the plot was meh..
right now there's the drama "The Cursed" and well that has more thriller than this though both have the dumb cop moments ;)

there are a few articles about " Best Korean Dramas For Beginners" by Skye-N-Rain that already mentions the classics and they are sometimes more genre specific, so you could check them out ^^

I'm glad I started with the old classics, tbh the "so many dramas so little time" is a scary mantra for a newbie in this day and age xD
