Ma Dong Seok is the only person who can pull a believable "1 against 10" fighting scene, one push from him and everyone goes flying xD
they used Song Ji Hyo well here, as expected from our ace wonder woman ;p
also, their explanation of the reason behind the kidnapping was not original, but they worked well with it, they made it and the "bad guy" their own which is always a plus for me ^^
I always end up mixing Kim Sung Oh and Lee Min Ki up, I was like, LMK is so different here xD
I can't believe her dad lied about it too though, he literally lived on with his daughter's killer and raised that woman's child as his ;/
the other problem besides the overly simple "mystery" is the fact that their character introductions were so strong, they had so much potential, yet they never got "personal" with them, where's Kang Ji Heon and Jeon Soo Yeong back story???? they just spent the whole drama as "2 detectives who searched for clues"... that's it.... and where was baro? I never saw him, don't tell me his the 3rd "detective" xD
2- what the wife told that woman who only cared about the value of the complex "if it was you, would you be happy if your husband just worried about the price instead of looking for you"....
3- what about the gas station dude, he never came forward and he lived happily ever after ;)
4- sang hoon literally said screw the old cop, I'll deal with it myself xD that's why I kinda think they needed a younger cop, but again it was only about sang hoon ;p
5- +10 cops went to the killers house and non of them stayed outside to catch him when he ran away ;)
6- mom fighting back was THE best part~
7- little girl was stupid to try and save her mom ;)
8- young cop was stupid to stand right at the door step with the door wide open to look at that bag.
9- I did like how the mom and girl were saved, non of the "civilians" wanted to help..
10- I was so scared SH would kill him, I mean he ran after the killer first, but killer attacked 1st and SH left him ;)
11- that little avalanche was over dramatic, but a great way to end it "differently", I thought that tower thingy was gonna fall on them xD
12- that avalanche did expose his other murders so double thumps up to the writers ;)
13- I loved that ending report that said killer was neither abused or poor or anything, there's no need to always justify the psychopaths. another thumps up to the writers to fully make it about the "witness" ;)
usually it's about the cops or even the killers, but it's never about the witness, and this was a great representation of it...
they had a little "dumb cop" moments, and I am so traumatized by endings that I had to pause a few times just to brace myself, but overall they really did a great job. it's a great example of "it doesn't always have to end the EXACT same way as other movies" but still not being over dramatic ;)
that ending scene really broke my heart and it was a great way to end the story.. more in spoiler ;)
TvN doesn't have their own awards show, but there are stuff like Korea Cable TV Awards and 9th Korea Drama Awards, but they are more of a "popularity" award show xD
I'm on ep9, I like it, but it's not a "I need to watch it all right now" kind of a drama, I watch 1 ep every other day ;)
My Mister And Mother were one of the greatest 2018 dramas~
I was not expecting someone else to be watching Memory at this moment! sorry xD
it's not a big spoiler, as I said, they are not secretive about it, it's not a "mystery", they want people to know ;)
and btw, it's one of my favorite dramas ever, that's why I'm rewatching it now ;D
like, TJ could've just read the secret files about the previous donor so they could re convinced the parents, and he could've lived.. especially since his ghost didn't leave at the end, but Hyun Ji's little remark about how Do Kyung's heart beat is "the best sound in the world" touched my heart so I'll ignore it all...
the acting was great, it's only 1 hour 36 min so they did well for that time frame, which is why I keep saying most 16ep dramas could be solved in 2 hours ;p
and they did add a little extra touching moments which was sweet. like how he was indifferent and why, and how don't being indifferent could actually be helpful and such..
I read your comment now, and it's like, if they didn't want to be "surprising" or shocking or whatever, then they could've just showed EH as the killer from the start, then they could've atleast added some depth to his "killings".. like regret, fear, or the lack of them.. how did he feel knowing people were after him? it was too rushed on that part, and now he's just dead..
also they could've saved me from overanalyzing this, and over thinking it into something bigger..
I'm rewatching Memory right now, and they literally showed the killer right away, that way they focus on the whole process of fear/regret/guilt from his pov and it's just so beautiful and sad...
well, I have been zoning out while watching this for atelast a month, so I guess I could bare through it till the end ;p
also for the kid, it was either her or her sister, and she literally had a picture of 2 kids and her mom, and one of them was her, so who the heck would the other kid be but her or her sister!!!
and why did Kang Ji Heon act like he cared so much for the guy he shot? especially since he suspected him all along ;/
also, with this eps ending I kinda want to drop it and pretend that's how it ends because what more would they want to do for "6" more eps...
