What I'm finding frustrating about this drama is that you can almost see how it could be really good? There's…
OMG I agree with you 100% I can see some parts with huge potential and I think it could be really fun but also I get so confused from time to time? Dialogue is sometimes so ridiculous that I'm wondering if someone is messing up the translation or writer really did write it that way and also Oh Bo Mi is so irritating and I mostly skip through business related parts lol. I just hope the drama can improve over span of few next episodes because it is promising just really messy
Okay first of all I must say that I am so impressed by you! This part: "400 horror films and counting, from 45 countries in the world and around 270 different directors" made me go WOW you must be a real connoisseur! Personally I don't watch horrors - it's not my cup of tea and I don't enjoy being terrified by movies, I am the type of person who gets scared really easily even while watching light genres so it's enough for me but you go girl, you do you! I don't get why people like to look down on someone because of his or her hobbies. I get it a lot because of Asian dramas and kpop and reading young adult books but as long as it's something that gives you happiness then there's no reason for you to care about other people opinions!
I loved Indivualist Ms. Ji Young, it was a short story but gave me so many emotions! And I would highly recommend To.Jenny - it's a really sweet story that will make your heart flutter for sure!
Seeing so many Woo Do Hwan gifs in one post makes me just so happy <33333 He's one of my favorite actors ever. He stole my heart in Mad Dog and then I finished watching The Great Seducer only for him (this show was so terrible and he was literally the only good thing that happened in the production). I can't wait to see him in My Country (I am waiting for all episodes to be released) and Save Me! I wanted to watch him in Divine Fury because I had a feeling he would be awesome as a villain but I am too scared to watch it lol.
im getting tired of korea "reimainging" american shows and failing to get it right. its a straight up disservice…
I can't really talk about Leverage and Suits as adaptations since I haven't seen original TV shows but in terms of the story and production I find Leverage so much more entertaining and witty than Suits. I was quite bored while watching Suits and the only bright spot was bromance for me while I am genuinely interested in Leverage's plot and I am really enjoying it so far!
Dropped it after first episode. I honestly wasn't expecting much and I just really wanted to watch it for Kim Min Jae and Gong Seung Yeon since they off-screen chemistry is amazing... But it was so bad that I don't want to invest more time in it. I can already see how it is going to unfold and I feel like it would be a waste to watch more of it
This is a trope that I seriously can't stand. When I know that amnesia is present in a drama, I get put off immediately. It nees to be done well otherwise I am having hard frustrating time watching drama
Thank you for the article! I've been mostly watching Korean dramas but lately I've been into Chinese dramas however I had hard time finding new titles to watch so your list is really helpful to me <3
I'm actually scared to write this because there are crazy kpop fans out here, but Myungsoo sucks at acting. His…
You should watch Miss Hammurabi. Myungsoo is amazing there. When I started Angel's Last Mission I also felt that his acting was a little bit stiff to me like he couldn't get into character and I think that simply Dan is too over the top for Myungsoo. For me he is a really decent actor.
hahah I guess we are soul sisters! Speaking of Kim Min Joo and Hari- talk about most wished for kiss scene ever…
School 2017 was one of the first kdramas I've ever watched so probably I am biased ;) Everything was fresh and exciting for me then but I really loved the drama and it's still one of my favourites, mostly because of the main couple! They're so cute together! (Even though we didn't get the kiss *sigh*).
hahah I guess we are soul sisters! Speaking of Kim Min Joo and Hari- talk about most wished for kiss scene ever…
Hahaha OMG YASSS. They deserved so much more screen time together but I guess this is why their scenes were so precious and I was always excited to see them together. And when it comes to most wished for kiss scene Ha Ri and Min Joo are right behind Eun Ho and Tae Woon from School 2017
I am surprised to see how many characters you've mentioned I actually love to death! Wang So who will forever own my heart and soul, Kim Min Joo (I fell in love with Woo Do Hwan thanks to Mad Dog and his chemistry with Ha Ri was off the carts), Kim Moo Young was such a complex character and Seo In Guk did an outstanding job and of course Ta Hwan! At some point I was watching Empress Ki only for Ji Chang Wook. I can't even start to express how much I love all these characters, honestly I just want to put like million hearts here because they all mean so much to me!
I am so mad at this new system that Netflix is trying to push for. It is obviously one whole drama and creating seasons that are aired with few moths disturbs the flow of the story and what for? Because American shows have seasons? This has been getting on my nerves lately and it just blew up here because the second part is going to be aired in NOVEMBER which is crazy
I looked through my drama list to check in how many shows the female lead is actually male lead's boss or generally has better position and out of 80 dramas I completed only 5 dramas had this trope: Encounter, Hospital Ship, Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim, Signal and My Sassy Girl (drama). This is actually really devastating to see because women can easily be as competent (or even more) than men and I am always a sucker for a strong independent FL. I really like cohabitation trope and as long as I could easily see the injustice in distribution of power in office dramas where usually ML is chaebol or generally CEO and FL is poor girl that is his worker this article offered me a fresh point of view on cohabitation and it seems so frightening to me that FL almost always get the short end of the stick. As for the ML moving in I can only think of Angel's Last Mission right now. But the one thing that seems to be wrong in this article is the amount of childhood connection in the dramas - I feel like every drama since last year HAS TO have a childhood connection, it's literally EVERYWHERE.
should I watch this, should I not. dunno. I am actually really fed up with high school dramas but I did enjoy…
Actually there's no triangular relationship so if this is your main concern, you should definitely give it a try! I wasn't expecting to like School 2017 this much but it's incredibly good and I loved the chemistry between Ra Eun Ho and Hyun Tae (S)Woon <3
