I don't know anything about the novel only the 7 eps that are out now. So far nothing that would indicate romantic feelings from his side has happened, he is attached to his sister like the younger brother was to the older in My Journey to You. But we do know that he is adopted so i guess that could happen but I don't see why it would, the main couple seems to be getting closer and closer by the episode.
