I’m so annoyed at how dense Ming Ye is that he couldn’t see through Tian Huan’s lies and manipulation. As the God of War I expected him to be smarter than that. He failed to protect Sang Jiu knowing that Tian Huan would be so jealous and enraged and didn’t foresee that she may try to hurt Sang Jiu. Sang Jiu is naive and trusting of others but I can’t help but want to slap her silly for being so gullible!
There was some romance but I think it was unnecessary and their chemistry wasn’t that great.

In fact, keeping within character, it makes sense for the FL not to reciprocate because for the past 18 years she was hell bent on revenge and planned meticulously so why would she allow a man to distract her or cause her to lose focus. She left no room for romance in her life so it wasn’t needed in this drama.

They could have been there for each other and given each other hope as friends because honestly, the romance was so faint that it really didn’t add anything to the storyline. Take that away and as friends, the storyline wouldn’t have changed at all.
I hope the story picks up in the upcoming episodes. 8 episodes in and not much has happened. The investigation is kind of stagnant and so is the romance. 🙄😑🫤😒 Tbh I’m starting to lose interest and wasn’t eager to watch episode 7 and 8 until this weekend.
