This is exactly how I felt about the ending after the innumerable times I watched it. It always managed to make me tear up because of the happiness in WWX's smile and eyes, and the parting and coming back together makes it so much more meaningful. The choice to come back after furthering oneself is honestly so beautiful. It never entered my mind that it was a sad ending, just because the love and devotion is so obvious.

Ima be honest, the way ZZH is holding his shirt collar and with the blue-ish background, it looks like his head is suspended in midair in the picture xD
