Growing up watching numerous C dramas, I expect people dying in most of it, so I wasn't even fazed that characters…
They're not actual ghosts, but they are referred to as ghosts because they drink the water there to forget their obsession from their life. At least, that's how I understood it. I was confused initially as well.
Please watch the true ending that a user helpfully posted below. It will soothe our soul :) https://twitter.com/cayel14/status/1376661472546263050
The novels ends with them healing ZZS's meridians, and him and Kexing are constantly fighting over who gets to be top. Zishu agrees to help WKX give his parents a proper burial once he heals completely. The expelling of the nails and the mountain never happens. CWN and GX meet at the bridge of reincarnation and one of the gate keepers takes pity on their cut short love, so she gives them red string to tie them together. We get a short look into how two neighboring families (if I remember right) have two kids with matching red marks and so they agree to marry them when they get older. :) This novel is actually not too difficult to read and the translator did a great job with it!
Can someone/some veteran MDLister explain to me what verified star rating means? Verified how? By whom? Thank…
You can verify your account (with your email, I believe) and it works towards the weight your rating carries when you rate a drama. Just go into your settings and click verify. It's super easy. :)
For the ones who read the novel, I'm back with another question that's been nagging me.When MoRan went to the…
I haven't finished the novel, but a big part of me thought it was the fact that it was his previous life where he committed those sins. The ruler measured his soul for the last lifetime, but then continued onto the current lifetime, which was still clean, and registered his desire to change for the better. Another part of me thought it might have to do with Chu Wanning's forgiveness of him and his willingness to sacrifice himself in the face of Mo Ran's terrible deeds, which could possibly even out the scales. I'm more inclined to believe the first one because it seems more plausible, but I don't know if they address this later in the series.
I am kind of disappointed, with supposedly an epic battle and scenes on ep 31-33 it went flat. There wasn't a…
It's because the episode count was originally supposed to be 45 episodes, and it got cut down because of funding issues. That's why the pacing feels rushed.
This is hilarious! This contestant on a variety show thinks this is how Wuhu is really sung. https://twitter.com/gongjun_/status/1385656986616754176?s=21
GJ's version of Wuhu lives rent free in my head xD
i don't like historic dramas but i still decided to give this one a chance because everyone recommends it to me…
This is not everyone's cup of tea, but watchers usually fall into the drama around episode 15-20. I was very meh about it for the first 15 episodes and after that I couldn't stop watching. If you scroll down, one of the comments below actually reflects the change from "wut is this" to "OBSESSED", xD. It's pretty common. Don't feel like you have to love it though! To each their own. :)

It is, I've noticed it as well. There are definitely some shows on here that have almost nothing but good or bad reviews and the ratings are weird. I tend to stick to reading comments now.

They cracked down on fake accounts a while ago so I couldn't be sure if it's still going on. I think when that happened, they put in an algorithm that would address the multiple account problem. It also wouldn't explain why the ratings would go up and then back down, rather than just dropping if they were deleting ratings.
Yes, they are cousin....one of the funniest comment I saw was, Jin ‘s obsession with ZZS being new meaning to…
@Schimofinnie answered this question so I won't go too in depth, but the royalty has very little contribution to the plot. While there is conflict, its mostly to spur the characters on. WoH is pretty focused on characters relationships and development in my opinion. The actual side plot did little for me but the character involvement makes the whole drama.
