Petition for Gong Jun to be Hua Cheng lol jk jk
He would be so good for the part if by some chance the stars aligned on that, lol. It would be his third role in a BL adaptation and I think he could be considered a pro at that point xD

WHY is this not fully subbed yet? I have been waiting weeks to binge this.
There is a thread in the discussion board on how to sign up for the Youku VIP if you haven't already. It's actually pretty easy to navigate and only costs about $2 USD. :)

Some people are just showing their insecurities at this point ngl. Every bad comments I read about this drama…
I think the only ones who might leave negative comments are trolls tbh. If it's fans of "that particular show" I truly doubt the actual fans would say anything negative considering all the trolling they have gone through. I can't say much about other media platforms since I'm too lazy to get them, but there will always be toxic people who want to put good things down unfortunately. Best thing I think is to just ignore any negativity. At the end of the day, we're all here to share our enjoyment of drama watching. ^^

They changed it for the drama. In the novel, he inhabits the body while the face remains that of Mo Xuan Yu. I would think of it as a soul swap.
It's just a little script/storyline change to make the drama and casting easier I would assume. It is never really made clear what happens to WWX's body since it is stated that people went and looked for it, but couldn't find it.

Haha still laugh out loud whenever I see this! That's how talented they are! To act like that while wearing that…
Same, lol. That's pure talent. I would definitely die laughing if I saw that in person xD

That would be cool! I'm sure there are fans who would appreciate the efforts ^^

I'm not sure actually, I was curious about that as well. I doubt it does for the same reason you do, but hopefully it doesn't catch anyone's eye that it shouldn't. I know gaining popularity for things that toe the censor line can be a little dangerous. :/ For now I'm just going to be grateful and appreciate all the fan service food Youku is feeding us. ^^

I am absolutely loving all the BTS releases and this scene is so much more intimate here. However, I was feeling all emotional and then the BTS of ZZH giggling madly at the "Ni bu pei" line popped into my head.

Of course, no problem! I think I've watched three times already, and died laughing each time, lol. The pair of them are so funny and work so well off of each other.

I really liked the ending, when each actor/actress said a line about their character, and their goodbyes!
Me too! I thought it was a really nice addition! ^^

IKR!!! The emotion is real TT TT
The way he said Lao Wen and Let's drink had me all warm and fuzzy. Also, apparently him saying Lao Wen three times was ZZH's own addition to the scene T_T

omg XD I laughed too hard on this lmao
Yes! I live for their content. The first time I watched one of the interviews with GJ and ZZH, I had to double check that it was the official channel because of the inserted memes. Whoever is running their Twitter and YT deserves all the good things, lol.

Yup! I think Moondust explained it pretty well down below, but when Mo Xuan Yu sacrifices himself in the book, WWX inhabits his body so he does look like MXY in the novel. In the live adaptation, they couldn't change the actors of course, but the ritual that was preformed meant MXY traded his soul with WWX's essentially. Mo Xuan Yu was known to be a bit crazy, always wore his mask, and rarely went out. Since people rarely saw his face, no one really knew what he looked like as an adult. This is why no one thinks anything of his sudden appearance change.

Can anyone tell me why is Wei Wu Xian & Lan Wang Ji are called by so many different names like Mo Xuan Yu & Han…
So, there are different levels of respect/intimacy when calling someone's name. For instance, WWX is close to LWJ so he calls him Lan Zhan. Hanguang Jun is a title rather than a name and Lan Wang Ji would be his full name. Also, this is why LWJ calls WWX," Wei Ying" later on. It implies some level of intimacy or knowing someone more so than using a title of status or their courtesy name. Mo Xuan Yu is the person who summons WWX's spirit (for lack of a better word) and he is the body that WWX now inhabits. WWX initially masquerades as him so this is why people call him by that name.
