I’m really hoping for a happy ending but can you imagine an ending like History 3:MODC :(
I think there would be mass outrage if they tried to pull an ending like that. It definitely wouldn't go over well, lol.

Is Phupha going to die? Coz I didn't see him in any of the clips in the preview to the next episode. And also…
Highly doubtful. He's most likely going to be on bed rest for the episode since he was shot in the back.

Okay, but why did almost every location (indoors) was freezing cold?! You could see their breath and in the behind…
Yeah, I noticed that too. I felt bad about the dance scene where YW had a sleeveless shirt on. I can't imagine it was comfortable in the freezing cold.
I think the awkward pacing in Korean BL's will get better when they start getting longer. I blame a big part of it on having to fit a long span of time in the space of an hour or less for these BL's. It makes the pacing a little choppy at times.
On You Make Me Dance Mar 20, 2021
I'm getting used to the Korean BL's being so short that I think I'm adapting my mindset to the concise storylines xD This is honestly such a sweet and cute BL. It really left all the warm and fuzzy feelings behind after I completed it.

I really don't think this episode was that bad. Did all the actions of the villagers and Phupha anger me? Yes, absolutely. But we've already seen throughout the past episodes that they shun Tian when the slightest problem happens, even when he's trying to help. Here Tian is, telling them that their beloved Torfun is dead and he's responsible, so of course they're going to react without thinking. I don't think anyone in their right mind would take a moment away from sudden grief to ask the nitty gritty details.

I also think Tian's guilt at being given the second chance at life after inadvertently taking away someone else's is making him shoulder the blame without protest. Considering how much he has been unkind to himself already, I think its in line with his character to not explain unless prompted. I think a big part of this drama is about forgiving yourself and I'm looking forward to seeing his progress over the course of the rest of the episodes.

Although, shame on Phupha for reacting the way he did, but I can understand his side a little as well. I think it's pretty consistent with his guarded character. I honestly think he was more hurt Tian didn't tell him the truth and he had to find out from someone else. However, could have definitely done without his reaction. All I can say is I'm ready for the tears that the next episodes are probably going to cause, lol.
This really isn't as bad as some of the comments say but as of episode eight I can see the downfalls of this. The reason season one was so successful was not only because of the chemistry between Mew/Gulf but the growth in the characters. Tharn/Type actually grew as people to understand each other which we really saw in Final Love. I feel like the first season went somewhere with the character development whereas this seems like they relied more on chemistry alone to carry the story. That, and it feels like they took side couples galore, not enough plot, and a pretty useless conflict to fill holes in. Which is super sad, because this would be so good if it had just focused on Tharn/Type and how their relationship is growing. As someone who is in a long-term relationship, the problems with the anger and miscommunications happen in the reality. I think this would have been spot on if they followed them working to understand each other instead of the thirdwheel conflict line. Too much of the wrong things and not enough of the right things here in my opinion. :/

And that proposal must be the most extra of all extra proposals
I was giggling madly because I suspected it might be a proposal or a confession of some sort. Tan really let himself get hit with a gun for love. I guess the award for most aggressive proposal goes to MoD. xD

Life is too sad already so I tend to use dramas as a way of escape. I love feeling different emotions from watching dramas, but very rarely want a sad ending. The only time I allow/enjoy a sad ending is if I have due warning or it just makes sense for the plotline. I have watched a drama where they pulled the sad ending off within the last five minutes of the drama and I had a hard time getting over it after all the time I had invested into the characters. I definitely gravitate towards happier dramas and material though since it tends to help relieve my stress and escape for a while. Thank you for the article! It's interesting to see the differing views on endings.

I love this so much! This really gives me the feels, a very rare precious thing. While I wait, does anyone have…
Have you watched History: Trapped? That one has really good chemistry from both couples and is BL. Also History: Make Our Days Count, but don't watch the last episode if you value your mental sanity. His has a great couple, but is also focused on family aspects as well. If you liked The Untamed, you might enjoy Advance Bravely, but that one has a less satisfying end that CQL. Lost Romance is good chemistry wise too, but is not BL.

If you're referring to the ending of the drama, it's all due to censorship. I think they gave us the best ending…
Same! The two actors did a phenomenal job at portraying this relationship. It was all in the way they gazed at each other and the simple touches, but it was so beautiful. I do love the book, but I also love the pureness that that their relationship held in the drama. I think that's probably why the ending didn't bother me as much. We all know in our hearts that they lived happily ever after. It's all in the way WWX smiles at the end.

I think they left it very open ended because, let's be honest, the two display obvious feelings for each other. With all the other details they put in there(*ahem* LWJ waiting 16 years with his undying love), the censorship was already quite tenuous. I think they needed to have them separate to leave a nondefinitive ending. Most watchers can tell they're not just friends without knowing the origin work, so that's most likely why. Plus, I kind of like the ending as is. I do absolutely love the book ending, but I also love the idea that they parted to better their lives and still came back to each other in the end. They're such an OTP. ^^

After skipping a lot I got myself to ep 43 and I just can't see myself finishing it. The only thing I like about…
In all honesty, wuxia/xianxia dramas might not be the best genre to get you into C-dramas. For me, I watched K-dramas for years before delving into other dramas types and only started watching wuxia last year. I personally think the acting in here is amazing, especially the micro and nuanced expressions of the actors, but the world of wuxia can be a lot for a first time C-drama watcher. I might suggest trying out other, more low key, C-dramas and then coming back to this one if you feel like it. Korean dramas are not the only good dramas out there, but with each culture comes different acting types and cultural differences. I would recommend Someday or One Day to try out since that looks like it might be more up your alley. I wouldn't give up on C-dramas or The Untamed just yet as they have quite a lot offer. :)

If you're referring to the ending of the drama, it's all due to censorship. I think they gave us the best ending they possibly could in that way. I would suggest reading the book if you haven't already since it gives more closure. :)

Title Mr. Queen Spoiler
Am I wrong in thinking the eunuch with the scar technically wouldn't be allowed in the palace if this was a real Joseon setting? I know queens and consorts are not allowed to be blemished or scarred. I know it's a plot setup, but I thought the no blemish rule extended to anyone that could appear in front of a queen or king. Maybe someone who watches more historical dramas or knows more about this could tell me? I know it's a silly question, but I'm genuinely curious.

Once I completed I went on Youtube to Watch EoEo -Uniq even though I remember the song and everything is nice…
I totally forgot about that song until it randomly showed up on my recommended after I watched this drama. I didn't realize I was familiar with Wang Yibo before I watched The Untamed but it all came back after I listened to that song again, lol. Baby WYB is all grown up now.
