Whom ever is running that account is on a different level. I have never seen such engagement, such interaction,…
Same! I think I'm in love, lol. It's so refreshing to see someone engaging with and including us international fans. Also their YT video edits and the titles to some of the BTS are pretty hilarious too. Somebody deserves a raise.
how do people avoid spoilers? it's literally everywhere, on every social media platforms
That's why I ended up subscribing to Youku so I could watch the whole thing. The spoilers were everywhere and almost unavoidable. I didn't want the end to be completely ruined for me so I caved.
Everyone! Go subscribe to youku’s YouTube channel. Youku promised a gift to fans once they reach 2 million subscribers.https://twitter.com/youkuofficial/status/1377855815562985472?s=21
I just did as well and it's at 1.99M subscribers now. ^^
This last episode brought all the tears and smiles and the chemistry between Earth and Mix really makes the smallest actions seem the most intimate. So sad it's over but it was a great journey along the way and I couldn't have asked for a better ending. Kudos to everyone involved in making this and the actors themselves! Every scene was so heartfelt. This is definitely going on the rewatch list!
I think this drama is more about learning to forgive and love oneself rather than the physical and romantic aspect…
I can see where you're coming from but I'm not sure it's a homophobic avoidance of kissing/touching. I think it is a realistic progression of their relationship. Yes, we get kissing scenes galore in straight dramas but this isn't a straight drama. They're living in a place where there is a lot of outside things going on and being gay isn't widely accepted. We get to see Tian's uncertainty about his sexuality when he confesses to his best friend, so he obviously was worried about people not accepting him for it. I also think they did a good job of avoiding the 'I'm not gay, I just like you' trope by having them subtly confess to each other repeatedly.
It might be because I've been in a similar situation of knowing two people have feelings for each other yet having to wait for the right time that I don't mind their slow burning progression. Throughout the drama we see Tian's uncertainty about anything regarding himself and Phupha is constantly doing the push and pull thing with him. That along with their ten year (I believe) age difference and them both being guarded characters, I think the lack of intense or impulsive skinship made sense. If they had kissed, I'm not sure they would have faced each others feelings in a healthy manner because of the timing. That is, of course, my personal take on it and merely how I understood their relationship.
All that being said, I am looking forward to the ending and hopefully we get some super fluffy moments amidst the incoming angst.
One episode left and the MC has not exchanged one single kiss or extended embrace. Would this ever happen in a…
I think this drama is more about learning to forgive and love oneself rather than the physical and romantic aspect of love. This is really Tian's story of personal growth so Tian and Phupha's slow romantic interest in each other was more of a bonus for me. I'm personally okay without the kiss until the last episode because there's a lot more here than the romantic aspect.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one. He gave me some SLS too. T_T
The last episode he was in was so intense it brought tears to my eyes. He really looked like he was filled with so much longing and loyalty towards ZZS. Absolutely! The emotions he brought forth were so tangible and they broke my heart a little. Best of luck to the actor, I'm sure he'll get more prominent roles in the future.
Okay but the rewatch value of this drama is definitely 10/10. I have watched it raw, subbed on youku website,…
I plan on watching for a second time subbed on youtube once it fully comes out. I finished watching and immediately wanted to watch it all over again xD
Does anyone else think that later episodes, the ZZS character become the “ tragic beauty” character type?…
He really was stunning. I would be minding my own business, watching the drama and reading the subtitles, and then I'd get wrapped up in how truly handsome and pretty he is.
I agree. I wish they had cut some off their screen time to add more to the ending. Maybe it's just me but step-father…
They gave me the creepy vibes right off the bat and continued to until the very end, lol. I would have honestly like to learn more about Scorpion's backstory though.
