Okay, but I couldn't helping laughing when K2 is literally on the brink of death and they inserted two different promotions. Kind of of took away from the seriousness of the moment xD
Just watched episode 1, interesting so far but the main character is hella annoying. Does this change?
If you think of his silliness as a defense mechanism against the things he's been through, it get's easier to understand his character a little bit more. He's a generally sassy character, but the plot, and him, get dramatically more serious later.
Ratings increased again :) Yaay. But 4 th place :( its unfair
It looks like it got bumped up to second place which is happy. I wouldn't celebrate too early though because the top show list and ratings have been fluctuating erratically since last night. I don't know what to make of the rankings and ratings at this point
Hey, just a lurker here waiting to binge this show, but I'm honestly so confuzzled about how the ratings and rankings…
Right! I'm starting to adjust how I look at stuff now and going to read the comments more. Now the rating is back down on this again so I'm not sure what's going on, lol.
Hey, just a lurker here waiting to binge this show, but I'm honestly so confuzzled about how the ratings and rankings work. This is rated 9.0 now, so shouldn't it be 1 in the top shows? Lol, I'm not sure how anything works anymore xD
I'm already excited from the trailer, can't wait for the actual drama. I'm definitely anticipating seeing tiny Gun act as a gang member and a less hardened brother out for retribution
I would recommend My Youth if you haven't already watched it. It actually has the same actor for the main lead…
Mm, have you seen Professional Singles yet? It's a cute one with an aloof male and a sweet love interest. Doesn't really give me these second love line vibes from here, but it's a nice watch if you liked My Youth. Also, My Girl with the same ML (again, lol) was alright. Maybe Cinderella and the Four Knights and Thirty but Seventeen if you're down with k-dramas. Those don't necessarily fit the bill perfectly, but they kind of gave me those vibes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
It's not obvious romance between a male and female lead, but there's an underlying romance story in here. It's all subtext though, so if you're looking for kisses and such this doesn't have it.
Not going to lie, I lost it a little bit when when he blew in her eye to get the dust out, but he blew through her lens-less glasses. xD This is such a cute and silly drama.
Anyone recommend me a drama with a love story similar to the one of the second couple! They were great and I liked…
I would recommend My Youth if you haven't already watched it. It actually has the same actor for the main lead in there, and he acts out the more aloof/bad boy-ish character if that's what you're looking for.
What a weird ending hahaha. They failed at rebellion, nothing change at palace, and at the end, Youlmu got the…
The ending made me feel weird too. I really wish they had introduced the ending information earlier, because I think it would have made more of an impact on the story. Oh well, the things we do for a happy ending. xD
Sorry but I don't understand what the fuss all about, I really tried to like this drama but couldn't . I gave…
I mean, it may just not be your cup of tea. However, the majority of the people that fell in love with it finished the whole thing. The first 15ish episodes take a little getting used to, but after that it's smooth sailing. I think you may be more into romance judging off your currently watching list though, which may attribute to your lack of enjoyment watching this series. The popularity of the ML's may have a little to do with some people starting this, but the said popularity did skyrocket after this drama which (I think) says something about their performance. I personally had no idea who any of the actors/actresses were when I started this, but gave it a chance because people loved it so much. I ended up falling in love with it by the end. I would suggest giving it a little bit more of a chance, but again, it may just not be your cup of tea.
Edit: I honestly wasn't sure what to make of the kpop scenario comment when I first posted, but it really doesn't belong on this drama for sure. As a long time kpop/korean music listener (9 years) , this isn't it. If you're talking about pretty boys, then the actors/actresses in this are certainly nice to look at, but their performance is what matters. You also won't find a drama these days without pretty people in it, so it's really an irrelevant way to judge something anyway. Considering I've seen people say they hate a drama just because the actors in it were ugly (their version obvs) I really don't know what people are judging dramas off of anymore. The kpop comparison is so off the wall, I honestly just don't know what to make of it.
It's the new MDL rating algorithm update. All the ratings on MDL fluctuated because of it. There's an official link one of the admins posted a little ways down if you're interested.
Not sure if you've watched Strangers from Hell, but that's definitely an OST I keep going back to even though I haven't finished the drama itself. The OST has a darker more rock band feel than most OST's which I loved about it. Chicago Typewriter's OST will always have a special place in my heart. That soundtrack made me feel so much. Thank you for the article!
Why can they fly sometimes and sometimes they fall straight to the ground? I’m in ep 19 and I still don’t…
Is there a specific scene you're referring to? A general answer would be it all has to do with their golden core/cultivation/qi. When they fly around, use martial arts, and use their swords, they are using their golden core which is made more powerful by cultivation. This golden core is also what allows them to fight with spells, formations, and talismans. If someone is falling due to a strike or something, they are likely less powerful than their opponent, injured in some way, or caught off guard. I'm not sure if this helps you understand better, but feel free to ask any other questions. :)
He really is!
