Yeah, I really feel uncomfortable for the actress because some of her earlier works have her acting completely…
I think you might've convinced me. xD I really liked HJE and PSJ's undercurrent of chemistry in KMHM, so I was thinking about trying this out. I might give it a go if I just need to use the ever helpful skip button.
I know, I hate it too! They put some glasses, freckles, and frizzy/curly hair on someone and call it ugly. Accidently In Love did that to the nth degree and I thought it was ridiculous. I loved HJE's acting in MPUB and I have another drama of hers on my ptw list in the hopes it's a more serious role. She is seriously so pretty and I hate seeing her in those ridiculous roles with over the top acting. I would definitely watch for Choi Siwon since he's such a cutie and I've seen some funny clips with him. Thank you for the rec!
Don’t know if I should continue or not. The romance is turning me off. Petting a girl on the head like you do…
Not sure if you finished it, but the romance takes a bit more of a backseat in this drama. This is more so plot-line focused rather than a whirlwind romance. I think the drama is worth it! This is my second time watching it (the first time I didn't finish it for some unknown reason) and I'm enjoying it more than the first time. The acting of the mains is pretty spot on here. :)
The whole petting head thing is very much a cultural thing if that helps at all. Definitely not my cup of tea either, but it's pretty prominent in certain genres of Asian dramas. It did feel out of character for Seo In Guk's character to do it though.
Well I rewatched it recently and still don't get if Nie Huaidang was a negative character in the end and if so…
Since @Joryenai provided some great links, I won't delve too deep into his character, but I can give my opinion. I don't think he was ever evil perse, just a man who had things happen to him that forced him into a corner. As a character, he always came off as flighty and not too bright, the general public of the drama reflecting his persona by giving him a mocking nickname. But, he was also a man who lost someone close to him, and I don't think he thought he had the ability to directly deal with the poison in their society. He knew his past friend in turn did and moved to use him to right wrongs. He's obviously manipulative and very good at it, but I'm sure he believed he was doing the right thing. I don't think he was meant to be seen as a negative character, but more of a background plot device, which is why WWX gives him the passing warning in the end. This drama tackles all the grey areas and really makes you think about how the world perceives rights and wrongs.
Right? His acting was so spot on, and I loved the chemistry between her and the ML. I just wish they hadn't had…
Might be She Was Pretty as I know that's her character in there as well. I really liked her in Mystic Pop-up Shop! I would recommend giving that a chance if you like supernatural dramas :)
Liu Haikuan always says the wrong thing and tries to save it but ultimately makes it worse . ( T_T)\(^-^ ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLlyVV26M9g
I have watched this clip probably three or four times and it never fails to make me laugh. It makes it funnier that he's been on the trending list because of the things he says xD
We almost dropped this, could not watch the FL. Skipped her scenes but stuck with it for the MLs acting!!
Right? His acting was so spot on, and I loved the chemistry between her and the ML. I just wish they hadn't had her act so over the top in this one because she's such a lovely actress.
I don't recognize the actor off the top of my head, but he does look a bit familiar. That second song is super…
You're right, the goatee ages him quite a bit. In modern clothes, he looks so sweet and maturely handsome.
Xiu Qing does have pretty distinctive features, but I guess I never noticed until looking at his modern photo. It's kind of funny how actors can transform so much just from the long hair and traditional attire.

Dang, I thought he looked super familiar! It all makes sense now. He was very handsome when he was younger, but I don't think I can think that about him when he's older just because of the character he portrayed. It might also be the goatee though xD
Currently taking a stroll down memory lane and became curious if anyone else here recognize this actor...https://www.bilibili.com/video/av23765931/https://www.bilibili.com/video/av74796448/

I would recommend My Youth if you haven't already watched it. It actually has the same actor for the main lead…
There is and it's pretty prominent, but it's a case of her being in love with one guy and then falling in love with the ML. I highly recommend giving it a chance if you can tolerate the love triangle! It's a really good drama and the chemistry between the leads makes it super worth it!
I'm excited for this, but also a bit nervous. With all the attention CQL got, I think the censorship is going to be pretty closely watched on this one. Plus, this book had so much cross dressing and ghoul characters, I think they're going to have to be super careful translating that to the screen. :/ Either way, fingers crossed that this goes well ^^
I have had this masterpiece on WishList for a long time, but I postponed it due to many episodes. After watching…
If you end up liking Mo Dao Zu Shi a lot, you might also like Heaven Officials Blessing as well! It's by the same author and comes pretty close to MDZS in my opinion. :)
The ugly duckling character of Kim Hye Jin has to be one of the most annoying and pathetic female leads I have…
Yeah, I really feel uncomfortable for the actress because some of her earlier works have her acting completely over the top, and dressing her unflatteringly too. Her more recent dramas seem to have cut some of that ridiculous acting out and toned it down, which is happy. I was thinking of trying this one out, but if it's that bad, I might skip this one :/
I'm excited to see PSH in an action role and the trailer looks really good! Definitely looks like it could be really interesting, so I'm cautiously be looking forward to this
