Very true! There is very little to almost no bisexual representation in BL's. It's one of the things that make sad about BL's. I never minded the "I only dated girls before, but you're the one for me now." thing that happens in many BL's, but I would so love more spectrum representation.

That's true. I think between the two, WWX was the stronger one mentally. He was ready to put everything on the line for those close to him without recognition. I think another part of why he didn't tell him, was because he didn't want JC to feel like he was indebted to him. That would have been a big burden to both of them. Poor guys, both suffering in different ways. (T_T)

I'm not if he would have or not, tbh. JC is a very proud character, which was one of the main reasons WWX decided against telling him about the transfer. I have a feeling it might have made him into an angrier person if he had been privy to that information earlier. Angrier and more guilty. I'm not sure it would have changed him for the better. I feel like he would have been pulled in two different directions, his pride one way, and his love for his family in the other. The inner turmoil JC would have had to experience may have turned him into a really bad person. Considering how much the other sects pressured him, I don't think he would have known where to place his loyalties or whether to back WWX. I think after all was said and done, seeing WWX kill himself then come back and try to right wrongs, the impact of the truth had a more profound effect on JC after sixteen years.

I'm so here for the slightly ridiculous, yet badass character he looks like he's portraying.

There is such a thing as artistic interpretation, and I thought he sang it beautifully. His higher notes had my heart doing little flutters. xD Plus, there are children on stage. I don't imagine they would do a rock type of instrumental with children on stage, haha.

No, the interest is definitely still there. There's a lot of new content posted to this page almost every day observing and analyzing new stuff, which is super fun. I saw a joke about the CQL community where someone said "CQL watchers are like "I noticed this new detail on my 171 watch"" and it absolutely rings true, haha. It's such a wonderful show, and the love story is absolutely beautiful between LWJ and WWX.

I actually put it off as well since it was so long, censored for the BL, and wuxia, which is not normally my thing, but ended up falling in love with it. Now, I can't get over it, lol. Those two are so precious and deserve all the good things in the world.

Yeah, I finished CQL about five months ago (I went back and looked, I really can't count, lol), but a lot of the users on the page have been here from the beginning (over a year), so I'm on the lower end, haha.

Uhg, my heart. He deserves to be protected at all costs. His acting was great, especially the battle against the sects scene where he finally reaches his limit. Sooo good.

Yeah, same. I was like WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU. Turns out he was just a little softie with badass abilities, lol. That scene where LWJ is drunk and WN runs/waddles away still wrapped in chains gets me every time xD

He really is though xD He's just so pure

Maybe not the mostest, but I really love Wen Ning's character development throughout the storyline. He goes from being a little weak to vulnerable, yet strong and caring over the entire plot. While his sect tells him he should be tougher, he ends up changing for the people he cares about instead. His loyalty was really nice too. Even though he could have easily blamed WWX for coming back undead, or his sister dying while he didn't, instead he is unfailingly loyal to WWX and the juniors. He goes from being the brother/friend that everyone needs to protect, to being the protector. I really like his character development a lot. :)

It really is. Bless the writer, her works are amazing. Have yet to read Scum Villain, but it's on my list.

It's the best rabbit hole possible with plenty of wonderful company. It's pretty endless too. Every time I come on here, there's some new nuance to CQL that someone has shared. :)
