How does everything and everybody look better in the 1930 version especially Seo hwi yeong
That longer hair on Yoo Ah In is perfection. He's so handsome with it like that.

We fans over at The King Eternal Monarch just want you to know, we will be catching up to your comment count soon.…
I don't think anybody needs to beat anybody else. Let's just enjoy both series separately as they're not affiliated with each other in any way. There's no need to try to make the two compete. It shows more respect to both shows not to try and pit fans against each other, and each can have their separate success. :)

I'm honestly confused why people are soo into this. The guys are gorgeous. I love Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan. I LOOOOOOVE…
It's fine to have an opinion and not like something, but you don't need to bash the content, culture, or the people who do love it. The book has very little sexual content and the story is mainly plot, action, and relationship development. It's actually probably the least sexual novel that contains BL that I've ever read. There's many adorable moments that balance it out as well. If you don't like this, you don't need to keep coming to this page to express it over and over again. I think everyone that appreciates this drama will gladly talk about different opinions, but there's no need for redundant bashing. It's totally okay for someone to like something more than you do.

Title The Untamed Spoiler
So I ended up watching some spoilers (I haven't watched The Untamed yet) I have a few questions before I watch…
The Untamed follows a past and present storyline so what you saw was the past storyline. The whole thing ties together in the present. It’s not a tragedy, but you will shed some tears, haha. I strongly suggest watching this, it’s really good. This was romantic for me, but many users didn’t find it so, and it’s not predominant in the story.

Why are these comment section still full of people who hate this drama? It's not that bad, and the reviews are…
I'm really not sure where all the hate is coming from either. TKEM, while a little bit all over the place and lacking in a perfect meld of the timeline and editing, was not that bad. I enjoyed the relationships more so than the storyline at times, but still hardly felt the need to skip. It's not perfect, but the amount of hate seems unprecedented. There are definitely much worse shows out there and the cinematography was really nice.

1) was i the only one curious about na ri like how was she rich with all those cool cars lol?2) they really should…
Yeah, they made the PM extremely smart and then she is suddenly making mistakes and turning evil because she wants to marry the king. It was an eh turning point for her character. I enjoyed watching this for the most part, but there were so many ways that this drama could have gone that it would have improved it so much. It kind of felt like the writers wanted too many twists and turns that the good parts of the plot got lost somewhere along the way. My favorite characters here were probably Lee Gon, Eun Sop, and Jo Young.

1) was i the only one curious about na ri like how was she rich with all those cool cars lol?2) they really should…
I was curious too, but I think they chalked it up to Na Ri owning the milk tea business and owning the building. I wish they had more explanations throughout, but I really think it might've been an editing problem in which they had it in there and they decided they didn't need it, lol. I think the great grandfather used the flute to travel there.

The Prime Minister felt like she was supposed to be a kickass female character, but they ruined her by making her evil in my opinion. I ended up hating her to bits.

My interpretation is that the yoyo boy was a personification of the flute that wanted to piece itself back together. He was going between the worlds trying to resume the balance and helping the attempts to fix the past. Eun seop and Na Ri are so adorable, and I definitely wish they had gotten more screen time.

Some bits and the ending on this felt hella rushed, which made me sad because it had so much potential.

Season 2 should be out by the end of the year or beginning of next year, but doesn't have an official release date yet. They're doing workshops now. :)

True that. I am loving this series not bc of the plot but bc of the actors who carried the whole thing. Whoever…
The great thing about Mew and Gulf is that they chose each other at the audition. They were both asked who they thought would make a good counterpart and they said the other person. Everyone else did such a great job too. Despite the flack that Lhong get's, the actor obviously did a good job displaying his character since everybody hates him.

Some people that rated it might not have left reviews. I also think part of it is having such high ratings. Some viewers might expect to immediately fall in love with the drama when really you have to watch the whole thing to appreciate it as the masterpiece that it is. It’s still floating in top five dramas though so it’s popularity isn’t going down.

Is it really as bad as the reviews are making it out to be?
It's really not. Is there a lot of product placement? Yes. Is the editing a little wonky with some plot holes. Yes. But is the acting good? Also, yes. It definitely has it's pros and cons.

i'm on ep 27, and i feel like i'm only watching it cuz the reviews are good :/
I would personally suggest finishing it as I didn't super duper get into it until about episode 30/35. Especially since I'm new to wuxia dramas and this was my first ever 50 episode watch. Everything starts to tie in together right around those episodes, plus you're already halfway through. It might not be your jam though, and that's totally fine too! I would say stick with it though, it's definitely worth it! :)

As the people before me replied, the relationship between the two main characters is completely subjective to the viewer. It is in no way the main focus of the drama. I highly recommend watching The Untamed purely because it’s just a great drama plot and actor wise.

In the special edition, they cut out of the parting of ways scene that takes place after it's revealed that LZ took in Au Yaun. It just ends with them playing their instruments together and LZ referring to the oath they made in the Cloud Recess. I took it as a nice nod to them staying together like in the book, but that might just be me. :)

I agree with I need romance. The first time I watched it, I thought he had turned back but after watching it a couple more times, I think it's supposed to be years later after they establish themselves. If you watch the special edition, they edit it differently so that the two never part which is also a nice alternative ending to the series.

what Censored Romance mean ??
China censors same sex relationships, so while the novel has boys love in it, the adaption does not. There are no kisses or I love you's between the two male leads, but there are plenty of hints toward a deeper relationship.
