No kengkla? But in the novel mention about kengkla; honestly I'm kinda afraid that how international viewers will…
I believe the respective series (or it might have been MAME) stated that some couples would remain in their established series. Tum/Tar and Keng/Kla are more established in LBC so their storyline will continue there. Whereas since Tharn and Type's characters are now acknowledged here, they'll take Type's character out of LBC2. I believe it's something like that at least. :)

What exactly is the AO3 incident? '-''
It's pretty much what hello said. Someone wrote a rather spicy 18+ fanfic with XZ as the main character, and (I think) his fans reported it which got the site shut down. Since it was one of the few fanfic sites that was still light in censorship, there was massive uproar. Somehow, they blamed XZ for the whole thing (i.e. not controlling his fans) and ended up boycotting stuff he promoted and the like. That's what I gathered from articles, but it's all hearsay.

I strongly dislike the overused evil mother/wannabe girlfriend/evil Ceo trope. The poor girl, rich guy trope gets on my nerves as well. Also, when a misunderstanding could be cleared up with a simple explanation, but instead the character just stands there with his/her mouth open. Unnecessary drama is the worst.

How could you leave out the fish eye kiss! Lol
This. I hate the "I'm so shocked you're kissing me, I'm just going to stand here like a deer in headlights" moments in some dramas.

The book is definitely spicier, but there's something about the slow burn between WWX and LWJ in the adaptation that's so lovely to watch. The long looks and unwavering loyalty really gets me in the feels.

This post is not related to The Untamed.I just finished binge watching Gameboys and I wanted to recommend it to…
I added it to my ptw list in passing a couple days ago, but I'll definitely move it up the priority watch list! It didn't seem like my cup of tea, but I've only heard good things about it! :D

I understand. This was my first 50 episode watch. I had some hesitation since I have the attention span of a goldfish.

A lot of viewers (including myself) believe that it was a couple years later. If you look closely, WWX is wearing a different outer robe than he was when they parted. In the novel, they don't part at all and end up living together happily ever after.

Major spoilers up above. Don't read if you haven't finished watching!

For a person who has never watched a Chinese drama, is this a good start?
Yes, it is. It can be a little confusing in the beginning, but if you stick with it TU is a great watch. :)

Title The Untamed Spoiler
i have another questions guys. i skipped alot, thats why i think i missed some things. what happened to wen qing?…
Wen Qing was killed by the sects along with the rest of the wen clan (minus WN of course) It is heavily assumed that NH was the one pushing the investigation along and that he was responsible for MXY summoning WWX's soul back. At the end, LWJ and WWX do part for some time, but the ending scene takes place some years later on the (I'm guessing) same hill. WWX is playing the song that LWJ wrote for the two of them at the end as well. You should definitely go back and watch it to absorb all the wonderfulness, but if it's too long for you, try watching the 20 episode version. It skips over a lot of the major plot, but focuses on Wangxian more. :)

I watched this side by side with the original version incase I miss something because the comments said that there…
It's more like longer scenes or scenes from a different angle. There's the longer scene when WWX sees the brand on LWJ's chest (hello WYB's nipple), the scene where LWJ is drunk and we see WWX grab his hand, and the added ending waterfall scene, etc. But yes, this is definitely something that should be watched after the 50 episode version. It's more of an accompaniment that focus's on Wangxian rather than the whole storyline.

I would also recommend S.C.I. The genre is not wuxia, but it fits the chemistry bill. :)
TU is very much a forever addiction. It's super hard to move on from this drama, lol.

Ah, okay. Another thing to possibly check out is My Country: The New Age. The brotherhood in there is amazing, and (at least I think) the ML's are handsome. It is Korean though, so I'm not sure if you're trying to stick to Chinese dramas.

Title The Untamed Spoiler
I loved the drama so much that I keep thinking about the story even when I'm working ,, it took a lot of my mind…
If you read the book it gives you a better understanding of the sequence of events. WWX doesn't remember anything from the time he was dead. Nobody, not even WWX, knows where he went when he died, so that remains a mystery. The body probably was destroyed in the fall though. In the book he was 18/19 when he died, I believe. The drama is set a little differently so he was probably in his early twenties. Hope this helps answer your questions. :)

They do leave a lot of little hints that the relationship between the two is something more, but I think the thing that makes it so universally enjoyable is that it can be interpreted differently depending on the viewer. It was romantic for me, but it is not for a lot of viewers as well. The depth of the relationship in the drama between WWX and LWJ goes beyond words entirely. While the chemistry between them is an obvious plus, there's a lot to love about TU. :)

What is the difference of special edition and the 50 episodes?
Not sure if you got the answer yet, but the 50 episodes is the full story with no cut scenes. I highly recommend watching that first. The 20 episode version has scenes cut from it to focus on the two ML's and their storyline.
