There probably is. The screenwriters and directors really did a great job dropping little easter eggs throughout the live adaptation for the book readers (the brand on LWJ's chest, ect.) Now I feel like I should read and watch all over again xD
He died at the end. His cancer was incurable, but he changed the Noh Eul for the better before he passed.
In the drama, Woo Bin's character is diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and was given a year to live. After the drama, Woo Bin was diagnosed with throat cancer, but thankfully he recovered. :)

I don't remember him saying it, besides the snow scene which I thought took place after he tells Jin Ling that, so correct me if I'm wrong. In the drama, when she and the Wen clan are giving themselves up she says it to him as he passes out. She looks like she's holding back tears as she says it to WWX.

Honestly the parallels between all the characters is so lovely to watch (in a tear your heart to pieces/heart warming way). There is such a family dynamic and almost everyone got a second chance at a happier ending. RIP to the Yi City Arc though on that front though.
It broke my heart every time WWX lost someone else and he thought it was because of the tenuous control on his cultivation. Having only one option to protect those around him and seeing it do the opposite slowly whittled away at his psyche. Also, how quickly everyone turn on the real culprit was bittersweet because he'd had the same thing done to him 16 years prior. Poor guy had some serious mind games played on him.
I remember when he tells Jin Ling to learn to say thank you and sorry, he also says tells him he'll have to say it crying some day. And that was what Wen Qing said to him while crying. Uhg, the sadness.
LWJ waited blindly for sixteen years, and deserves all the good things and happy endings. The strong family dynamic in this is probably one of the many reasons I love TU so much. Plus, it spurs so many conversations and thoughts on it, that it's really cool see the different views on it.
Basically the movements for the infamous WangXian rooftop fight are the same moves that LWJ used to "test" WWX…
Like Iiya said, I think it's in part due to having lost his golden core. Another part of it I think is that at this point he still doesn't know LWJ cares for him. One of the first things LWJ says to him when he reappears is "Come back to Gusu with me to explain your disappearance" or something close to that. Part of him might have believed that LWJ might kill him because of his change in cultivation. Also, later in the rain scene, WWX tells LWJ that he would be okay with dying at his hands, if I remember correctly. In his journey towards demonic cultivation, he might have expected to die at LWJ's hands at some point.
Can anyone recommend me some drama like the untamed?
You won’t find one that quite pars up to TU, but I would suggest checking out the wuxia genre. There are quite a few hidden gems in that genre, and it helped to satiate my drama needs after I exhausted all the MDZS materials. Also, if you’re looking for something with chemistry like the two ML’s here, with a little of the same feel, I would suggest Guardian. :)
@hello's wonderful post below had me thinking about WWX. There's this line in the novel during the scene where…
I was thinking about it and it's even sadder because Wen Ning and Jin Ling are in the same boat.
Wen Ning lost his entire family except for Au Yuan and only had WWX when he regains his consciousness. He gains more family through the younger generation and ends up continuing the relationship with them later by going on night hunts with them.
Jin Ling has family, but is not super close to them and ends up being betrayed by the uncle he thought loved him. The boys from the other sects along with WWX and WN also become close to him throughout the series and he continues the relationship even after everything is over. Jin Ling also ends up becoming a fair sect leader as well by not only helping those who were higher in society, but those from small villages as well.
WWX positively affected those around him the second time around, and gained a second family from the whole journey. I think, although it's sad, it is also lovely how everyone who lost someone became each others family when it was all said and done. I just wish Jiang Cheng would have been more open to connected with WWX.
See a beautiful & very informative meta analysis of the term 知己 [zhiji] in The Untamed here: https://hunxi-guilai.tumblr.com/post/612161034673946624/all-right-guys-lets-have-a-conversation-about/amp
Since there are two or three different translations of the word WWX uses, I absolutely love this deeper analysis. Also, my heart. I keep falling in love with LZ, WWX, and TU all over again.

That’s a super great idea! I think that would be really helpful to us and to people who are checking out the drama/page for the first time. Lol, no judgment here. Nerds unite :p
While the novel The Untamed is originated from is BL, the adaptation is not. The nature of the relationship between the two main leads is up to the interpretation of the viewer. If you're looking for kisses or skinship intimacy, this doesn't have it, but there's plenty of wonderful chemistry to go around. The relationship between the ML's is wonderful by itself, but the entire drama is well worth the watch. :)

You came on this page wanting to prove something when you could have just left it alone. It's a little immature. Considering you wouldn't want people bashing your show, you shouldn't do it to others. The fans of TU have a deep appreciation for the effort, acting, plot, and development that went into the production of the series, and putting numbers out there doesn't change that at all. You really haven't changed anyone's minds here. Everyone is going to go about their day and keep loving it just as much.
https://movie.douban.com/subject/27195020/Proof that untamed is overrated. And just has a cult following here…
Hun, give it a rest. We're happy loving what we love, and you can be happy doing the same. The only one feeling some type of way about "beating" the other is you. Also, the community here on MDL that frequent The Untamed page are awesome.

It is, but I honestly think it made the drama for me. He ended up influencing her to be a better person and made her happy. In turn, his quality of life improved as well, and he spent the last of his time being happy with her. It’s a super bittersweet ending.
Random fun fact: 61% of the people who rated The Untamed gave it a ten. Want to check the stats on your show,…
I have watched it. I even enjoyed to some extent, but it has its issues. As someone who has been watching dramas for almost 8 years (and the majority of people you’re arguing with have been watching dramas for even longer than that) there are many more dramas out there that top it in quality, plot, and flow.
I can see that you’re not really interested in sharing opinions, you’re just just trying to instigate fights. It only hurts your cause to go on other fan pages to start arguments tbh.

I get more of the feeling you’re just an ardent LMH fan, but’s it’s more than a little toxic how you’re trying to promote it. I’m sorry, but TKTEM was nowhere close to the best Kdrama out there, let alone drama in general. I strongly suggest branching out and maybe taking a chill pill before you go on other pages and try to stir up drama.
