Scent hiking in skinny jeans, no water bottle in hand, a folded long sleeved shirt, fashionably unbuttoned and with those shoes was definitely aura farming. Poor costume choice in my opinion, but a nice first episode. Looking forward to the next and I hope the show sustains my interest.
I really don't think they should have crammed so many plot points in 2 episodes; a coup, a court trial, uncle vs nephew, emperor vs Prime minister, the finale. I couldn't savour each. All in all a dull ending. The FL couldn't be seen for a few minutes there untill QQ is conveniently falling from a cliff and finally we get maybe the 2nd fight scene with XZ as a general and it was not as cool. And how did uncle and nephew leave the palace to go get reinforcements? Oh well.
in some scenes the directing and acting feels awkward in that i can tell they are acting, the instance where the nerd is brought to the gangsters office, his 'fear' did not compel me, it was stiff and too typical, lips parted, eyes wide with no deeper expression and shoulders shaking. it brought to mind a looney tune cartoon.
I'm in EP 26 and guys, this is what I had expected from the legend of the female general, pursuit of jade is doing it and doing it so well!!! I feel bad for watching it too soon, when I could have binged it and then when done start again!!
