NOT YOUR TYPICAL WUXIA DRAMA
I have long waited for The Immortal Ascension and this is my review.This is not the typical Wuxia CD where the ML is from a poor background with a unique talent, or from a popular family with exceptional talents. He is a ML from a poor background, with no exceptional talent and a fake spirit root at that! But he is tenacious, given to improment on his cultivation, he is smart, not boastful and prefers to keep a low profile.
As the drama progress, we find out that at every stage of his ascension, he is even more level-headed. Though he had a fake spirit root, he was not blinded by greed or power, he can differentiate right from wrong, and even when he can easily access certain materials to quicken his cultivation, he knows shortcuts will do him no good. He is quick and ready to learn, makes good use of hus surroundings, artifacts, and elixirs.
Also, he is not the type of ML to be entangled in romance, or yearn for his lost love, but he did have a lot of ladies after him.
In all, let's not be stereotypical towards the drama, it's worth a watch. I like the build up, from Episode 6 it becomes sweeter and more interesting. I can boldly say I didn't FWD this drama.
So guys, give it a go.

3 Reasons you should watch Reborn
Set in the early 2000s1. This drama talks about the low awareness of how some deadly diseases are transmitted and the stigma victims face even after death.
2. Talks about the lack affection and attention given by parents, family, friends. For some people they just need validation from people close to them, that's how they are wired, and when they don't get it, they breakdown totally and lose the will to fight.
3. It also talks about bravery and a sense of justice, to make things right.
I hope with this, you can try out Reborn. I'm still watching it, so far I have sincerely enjoyed this drama.

"Our Movie" more like Our Story
I just started this series and currently finished off Episode 1. At first, I thought, this drama seems boring, I will just see Episode 1 and call it off. I decided to see this drama because after seeing NKM 'My Dearest' and JYB 'Vincenzo' I decided to see this drama, because I love their acting and wanted to see how well they will do together in this new drama.Like I said, I thought it was boring after 20mins into, little did I know it was a build up. I finally got encased in their web of a story that will be explored from Episode 2. At the end part of Episode 1, my legs gave out literally, I've stayed away from spoilers concerning this drama, so I'm not giving out any... smiles...
So no, this drama is not boring, the story line is not weak, it's something that should be seen, it's a story that claws at the heart! A wonderful story.
This is just from Episode 1, I hope others who might have had second thought on seeing this drama, could go back and give this drama a chance, because it's worth it.
