i recommend you complete the two. TPOB, LLG . LLG is my favorite cdrama. all characters are well written. especially the main leads. it only gets better and better. i haven't seen a historical cdrama better than LLG so far (haven't seen nirvana in fire). lets see if zang hai can top it .TPOB gets progressively better. so i recommend you stick with it as well.
the thing is you will probably never meet a man or a woman like in dramas or movies in real life because they are fiction and in fiction they can be whatever the writer wants them to be. in real life no human beings exist who doesn't have any flaws, men and women.

these desk mate romances and all are called tropes. whether the plot is lazy or not depends on how well you execute those tropes. just because the story is about two classmates doesn't make it lazy writing. lets wait a bit more and judge. lets not jump to conclusions with just 4 episodes.
