I think it lacks the BL aspect but I loved the Taiwanese drama Mom, don’t do that! Similar themes to this series, it’s a lot of fun with some bittersweet heartfelt moments.

I started watching this with no outside info, just saw it on Netflix and it seemed interesting. was not expecting the BL/bromance chemistry at ALL but I’m loving it. the tension really reminds me of the chemistry between the leads on tv Hannibal

I’m 4 episodes in and not really hooked yet, is this one a slow burn I should push through for or is it one that if I’m not into it by now it’s probably just not for me? I heard so many good things about it I don’t want to give up but I also don’t want to put in hours if I’m gonna stay bored 🥲

I just can’t get over the bizarre faces jade makes in every scene. The final episode should have been cute as hell, and it was sweet, but I could only look at Mai in most of the scenes because Jade was just doing the most with his expressions for absolutely no reason. The pursing the lips and weird unnatural smile, it was the same exact faces Toh made all the time in SCOY. WHY? 😭

The scene where Jade took Mai to meet his family was adorable.

I was watching on YT so I only saw some clips of the NC scenes on Twitter and I’m not sure how I feel. can’t tell if it was just the choppy, low quality of the poor rip that made it a little off for me or if it just wasn’t for me. gonna have to hold my judgement for some better clips to surface lol.

Also really sad that part 4/4 on YT doesn’t have subs for some reason? but I think I’m just going to cut my losses, I fast forwarded through it and it doesn’t look like I’m missing out on anything super important.

jade is not autistic, this is just dramatic overacting that is very common in Thai media.

I’m kind of loving this so far. The challenge in the first episode was pretty good, the TikTok challenge made me cringe quite a bit 😅

The coupling subplot gives just enough awkward tension to hit me right in that aww/cringe sweet spot that makes me want to watch more. (That conversation between Namping/Keng was the best kind of torture. Namping obviously put out for not being picked while saying “I’m chill! I swear! YOU don’t need to overthink it tho” and Keng being like “I’m not overthinking anything” 😂😂😂😬😬😬 idk maybe I’m terrible but I was cackling.)

The masc line of gen3 are…woof 🥵🥵🥵

Going into it I had only really known Keng and Namping but now I’m really into Latte (his facial expressions are hysterical,) Thomas (the visuals……I’m sure there’s a personality in there somewhere but I’m too distracted by his face/body to find it,) and FirstOne (he’s just pretty 😭)

I’m so scared for next weeks episode bc singing can be so rough and I’m not sure how they are, I think I heard firstone cover Nunew’s song once? maybe? I remember him being good. anyway I’m terrified but very excited to see Nunew I hope he has a big part in the episode 🥺🤏🏼

I can’t believe there’s only two episodes left, now that I’m finally starting to warm up to the series it’s gonna end. 😂

Honestly bed friend was the outlier in the director’s body of work. this series made so much more sense when I realized that it was made by the guy who made secret crush on you…

if you thought jade was cringe in bed friend…well honestly this would make you shrivel up and die probably.

glad to FINALLY get some sort of backstory on jade, I wonder if the uncut version gave a little more bc it felt odd that we got like 20 minutes of filler montages and the flashback to move the plot forward felt like 30 seconds of bullet points.

I definitely think this show has continued to very slowly but steadily improve with each week. there were several cute moments in this episode and the jealousy felt very real and made sense with jade’s overly upbeat character to have this kind of darker overbearing side.

this is the struggle I seem to always have with kdramas. start so strong and fun and then its a half season of filler and boring drama that removes all of the charm of what made the drama enjoyable in the first place. 🥲

I’m 3 episodes into this show and it’s pretty cute so far. I didn’t have high expectations, just saw catboy and said yes. my only complaint so far is the 50 minute episodes could be cut down to 20 minutes without losing anything of value, everything seems to move incredibly slowly for no apparent reason.

I’m also surprised by all the comments saying it’s all fluff and that it’s g rated considering it’s rated R on viki, does that mean I’m not gonna get any good kisses? 😭

it’s funny bc I keep raising my rating every week but the overall rating has continued to go down. 😂

this most recent episode was kinda boring, the writers have really just given this show nothing it’s amazing they’re being paid.

but I definitely cringed a whole lot less and barely had to mute jade at all.

I’m still shipping Mai and Gus along with jade, I’ll watch them stare into each others eyes softly for hours if it’s given to me 🤭

I’m curious how they’ll handle becoming a couple now that Mai has finally confessed, I still just don’t feel the chemistry between them and can’t see Jade as a romantic partner. maybe he’ll change my mind? 🤔

I’m almost half way through and she is the only character I can’t stand. So immature and as the series goes on she just keeps getting dumber and dumber.

I enjoyed the most recent episode but I think probably just because I’m a simp for tutor being in his underwear for half the episode 🤭

I feel like the over the topness has gotten toned down a bit with each episode but that’s not really saying much when it is so damn extra.

I just can’t with Jade yelling absolutely EVERY SINGLE WORD that comes out of his mouth. I just keep turning the volume down 🤦🏼‍♀️

The writing is the real problem here though, the plot makes no sense and the jokes all seem to come out of nowhere and serve no purpose and worse of all just aren’t funny 😭

I’m more interested in the side couple, idk who the actor playing Gus is but he is so cute 🤭🤭🤭

he repeatedly collected fresh food and kept it until it was rotted though…just because the van was the only thing he collected directly from the garbage doesn’t mean it was the only trash in the collection 🤢

oh wow, I didn’t realize it was the same director that did secret crush on you…everything is making so much more sense now
