Yeah, a lot of us have deemed the rating system to be a bit faulty. If you wanna know specifics I could elaborate…
Higher ranked shows get more publicity and views--so yeah it hurts things. With that said, people who watch BLs are probably going to be searching for BLs more specifically. Meaning that the ratings between BLs and Non BLs probably don't really matter when it comes to BL viewers. Still, if someone who has never watched a BL, for whatever reason, saw a highly rated BL show above highly rated non BL ones they might watch it and realize that BL shows can be quite good. Thus bringing more viewers and normalizing such shows . . . which in turn will possibly help people understand better and accept things. This is all just something that could happen. I'm not saying it would make a huge difference because there is no way to know that.
With that said, it'd be better if BL ratings amongst each other didn't have the weird adding points issue because I'm sure a BL viewer will still look at the overall rating as a deciding factor for what to watch--first at the very least. Just like some can be scared away from watching a show because the reviews make something out to be worse than it is...or vice versa. A highly rated show can be overhyped. haha That's how it is though. For me, I can tell which reviews to take lightly and which probably give good information which helps me in particular. At the end of the day you will only know if you might like something if you watch an episode to give it a chance.

Seems like it. Honestly, I'd be fine if there was merely a cap because at least you know the ones at the cap are the best of the best. It's the issue with whether the added points are giving or not--which makes it unfair by giving a casual ratings checker the wrong impression. Any show, like Bad Buddy, which sits right at the cap doesn't look like they'd get added points. While there are a few just below the cap which are rated the same or higher than Bad Buddy because of the added points.
OMG OhmNanon UpVel is UPPPPP AAAAAAAalso guys im gonna be gone most of the tkme thos week im a bit busy
Oh my gosh. I just watched it and my friend walked in mid-way through. Apparently I was resting my chin in the palms of my hand like in the cute pose kind of way--probably because I was smiling like a fool. haha
From what I read from the book so far I think it is because of the thoughtful gift he gave Lan (Nuea's sister)…
Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of--is it being related to the photograph. At least based on what we as the viewers have seen so far. With that said, I personally got a feeling Nuea knew about him before that and was just using the photograph as an excuse to interact since they basically live in different worlds. Not sure about how correct that actually is . . . haha I mean I don't know about you but . . . I'm not about to fall for someone just because they took a beautiful picture of me while also not knowing what they look like. At least not enough to ask if they like me since the photo came out so lovely.
I'm assuming there will be a flashback or at least a reveal of when/why at some point. Just like how they started to show us Nuea's view after a bit.

The party happened after that scene. Unless there was an earlier party or another scene of them eating lunch at Nuea's faculty.
I'm not so sure it was shown when or why he likes him, but it seems like before the show started. Since I was a bit surprised he thought the tangerine bag situation was cute/funny and not weird/annoying/neutral. It was the first time Nuea interacted/saw them--at least from the viewers point of view.
You did better than I did when I started watching. LOL I stopped halfway through the first episode because of…
Surprisingly I wasn't too embarrassed by the actions--maybe because the vibe of the show is meant to be that way. Whereas if Toh was acting the way he is in a show where the vibe in general was less comedic and more realistic I'd feel the cringe. haha
I ended up stopping after episode five haha The show seems to be done well in my opinion. I'm just not into this type of acting/storytelling. There are good parts and then some I don't care about. haha In any case, the fact that I watched as much as I did despite it not being a show I would typically watch is a good thing really--in my opinion. Not necessarily because my reaction/opinion on the show is important, but because it seems to have a positive effect on others in a similar way.
I just watched the first episode and at the beginning I was like 'this is so not for me'--which is something I knew could happen going into it. By the end I was just like 'what did I just watch and am I actually thinking about watching another episode?' haha
Agreed. Bro It's hard to like characters like Lian, Yi and Jay for how bad they are. But I also couldn't get into…
Yeah, I was kind of hinting at that when saying he might not be perceived as a higher class. It's not really his fault though. Like you said, he's been raised to be taken care of . . . basically spoiled. Lian was trained to take care of him since Kuea was born. So it's also not his fault for getting stuck in that role either. Doesn't mean they both should just keep things the same of course. With that said, as kids it looked like they didn't really adhere to their roles much. I mean Lian probably did moreso because he was older. Being a good caretaker type, but Kuea was always rambunctious from what I've seen (which wasn't a lot but still). At no point did the parents seem to try to calm him down either. They weren't really like demanding him to be a good boy or anything. They also seemed to phrase things as a 'we'd like you to do this but it's your choice' type of way. I know people can say that just to pretend to be nice (while you all know there is no opinion), but I didn't get the impression that was actually the case. So I don't know why Kuea feels the need to act fake when he didn't while they were growing up.
I can't really give any more opinions, at least not any in-depth ones, since I decided to stop watching after episode 2. I just can't get into the characters.
Agreed. Bro It's hard to like characters like Lian, Yi and Jay for how bad they are. But I also couldn't get into…
That's true. Social class is probably most uh important out of the three--when thinking about cultures/history. I feel it tends to go hand and hand with the position in business though. Sometimes. With that said, if Kuea doesn't give off the vibe of a higher rank/class, after graduating, than he won't be perceived that way as much.
I hate how Pat made had his sister doing stuff for him, instead of doing it himself. Disgusting. I feel bad for…
If she doesn't want to actually do it she won't, but it appears as if he stops that stuff later on. Plus, there were hints he'd do chores for her--he'd just go about it in his own 'got to make it a competition' way.
Is "Cutie Pie" good? Is anyone watching it and would recommend it?
I watched a couple episodes. It feels like there is going to be annoying communication fails. I mean it happens, but it bothers me when I feel it doesn't make enough sense. With that said, it's kind of too early for me to know for sure because there was only one fail at the beginning. haha So far I haven't connected too much to the characters--which is a big issue for me. There have been good moments (as in shows potential) and some meh ones. I might start liking one or two characters, but I'm not sure. I am on the fence about it--so I'd say watch the first episode and decided for yourself.
Agreed. Bro It's hard to like characters like Lian, Yi and Jay for how bad they are. But I also couldn't get into…
I was thinking it was related to age and position in the company. So he is higher ranked, so to speak, in two out of three. Although, Kuea could be higher ranked in the business world after graduating.
Funny that no one commented about it in bad buddy they had their 2 kiss after almost a year after they started…
Oh, I took that as Pat usually starts the kissing. haha
I didn't necessarily think you thought kissing was a necessity. What a cute example with SeanWhite. Hehe Ah yes, I figured that might have been more the case. Which is kind of what I was getting at when explaining myself. Their show of love through playfulness is relatable for me. I know it can come off as, perhaps, too friendly. It makes sense. Most people (not saying you specifically of course) focus on the romantic. I feel we have been led to expect a certain kind of romance, but it doesn't always have to be that way. It's fine if someone craves to see more romantic moments than playful ones. Whatever works for the couple involved is what matters. I think PatPran dynamics fit their characters, personally. At the same time, when it comes to shows, it's the viewer who gets to decide how much they did or did not like something.

Yeah, I haven't run into anything super questionable yet. That's why I didn't mention such things. I mean there is obviously going to be a power dynamic just because of their positions with their companies/families or whatever. Such is life. I can't be an ass to my boss after all. I mean I could but haha Anyway, it depends on how the characters handle having that kind of, perhaps not even wanted, dynamic. Time will tell . . . if I watch more. haha

Busy can be good sometimes . . .
If you wanna know specifics I could elaborate in a DM or something.
