Ahh this was such an informative and interesting read, as only this year I ventured out of my SK comfort zone…
"Informative" sounds like "super long" lol. Honestly, it feels good to explore especially if you only really watch one country. It feels like new territory.

Good for others but torture for me. I've been avoiding it like my life depends on it lol. I keep thinking it will get better but I'm just not feeling it. Furthermore, people comparing it to Untamed made me think I'd change my mind at some point but I'd rather watch a S/K than that! Lmao. I just don't like the drama and unfortunately I've already used my loophole on Praomook so I have to finish it. I need some motivational speech to get through this one lol.

Thanks for reading my article! :D

Ahhh, Eternal Love of Dream is made of 99% fluff and I love it to bits, flaws and all, glad you enjoyed it! I…
I absolutely loved ELoD! I think the lack of severe evils was a nice change and it had the right level of angst for me although I hate episode 21 the most.

Oh yeah, the ML spat every single episode! Lol It was gross at first but then it was like I got some kind of immunity and even started eating whilst watching which I never do but I don't think I've seen any other drama where ML suffers the way he did. I watched it pretty random and for the most part it was enjoyable. Maybe you can try it when you feel up to it.

Thanks for reading my article! :D

I have yet to see most of these dramas that you've mentioned. But I lol'ed at your comment on 'Lady Bancham':…
Honestly Lady Bancham's headache was intense!! I had to step away for my own health lol. Pin Anong is on my mental list of "Avoid" lol

I actually hate when the guy is always suffering for the woman which is why I loved ELoD. It was in reverse but most importantly they were equals. I loved that. L+R reminded me of how much I hate when its not equal and the poor guy suffered more than any lead I've ever watched.

Thanks for reading my article :D

well done... this line though "I hate disappointing endings way more than disappointing middles, lol. "... i feel…
Thank you! :D I know right! I can accept disappointing middles but if the end is disappointing too then I have huge regret lol.

Oooh great article, Brownie! I wasn't very surprised that the only dramas that I've watched in this article were…
Thank you! :D lol yeah me and Wuxias are pretty much like me and S/K to be honest. I will definitely be watching more Xianxia at some point. I step out every couple of months just so I can prevent myself from ever getting into a slump now that I mostly watch Thai. So far no slumps (¬‿¬)

Does the ML portrayal the innocent/clingy male type who chases after the older woman?
For me, no signs of clingy but he's nice.

I don't watch a lot of C-historicals (or chinese in general) but thank you so much for this article. I've always wondered who did the dubbing of some of my favourite characters. It would be nice if they all did their own but it's understandable why.

I've never really struggled with dubbing to be honest, unless its not in sync cos I read lips....subconsciously lol.

BTW, would you happen to have a list of other dramas with no dubbing?

Aside from abusive MLs, 2021 seems to also be the year for Age Gaps lol. I want to watch both but I need a clearer picture on the second one before I decide. Do you know if that one's coming to Netflix too by any chance?

I give many lakorns second chances but not ones like HJS.

Sounds like remake of k drama I Need Romance 3. Is this version any good or better maybe?
Never watched the Korean version and only 2 episodes have come out but so far I really like it. You should probably give it a go and see if its to your liking.

Its already out on Netflix. You may need a VPN or just wait until someone reuploads it
Its only available in Thailand until August like the other TrueCJ titles.

Tried it and everything in the 2.5 episodes I saw was a consistent trigger for me. It came recommended to me so thats no surprise, people always recommend me S/K lol

Is it worth to watch?
Depends what you’re into. It’s extremely calm for a Thai drama, almost similar to the vibe from Unlucky Ploy, Voice in the Rain and maybe even My Dear Warrior and Let’s Eat. If you like any of those then you may enjoy it.

Excuse me, may I ask what is the basis of this ranking? Is it only the writer's opinion?
I believe so seeing as I haven't seen 5 of them lol. Also it says "This is my list of the top 10 iconic Thai dramas that have impacted my life" at the bottom

I like Lakorns but not from 2000s lol. Lakorn literally changes a lot since 2018 (for a better). Don't know why.
I don't watch S/K. I watched a bunch when I first started out so never knew what it was but the only one I liked was KC. Besides that, I wouldn't voluntarily touch a lakorn with that tag unless I had a lobotomy lol

I started watching around 2018. Dunno which year I prefer yet cos I'm still watching some slightly older ones but I stick around 2016-present partly due to the video quality.
