By the way, I know it's a webtoon adaptation from the same author set in the same universe as Moving.I'm just…
You know, I really like stories set in the same universe as another story, even if they have no connection other than being set in the same universe. It makes the work of the author very interesting, and world actually living.
By the way, I know it's a webtoon adaptation from the same author set in the same universe as Moving.I'm just…
There are actually different Japanese anime / manga with the same format.
1. One universe 2. Different stories that seemingly have no relations with each other.
One such is the Tenchi Muyo universe. There are a lot of stories set in that universe that has nothing to do with each other, but actually affected each other in some way.
Another is, dang, what's the title, Mad Scientist guy that travelled to different timelines. That was set in the same universe as the previous works of the author (and succeeding works). The connection if each work are far less obvious, even questionable since the genres are far too different. But they're all set in the same universe.
1. The girlfriend was forgotten. It's actually simple:
a. Christian view: she comitted suicide. It was her punishment. b. Buddhist view: she kept stitching the guy to places of importance to them. She used the energy they built together to stitch him back.
I am leaning towards the Buddhist view because one place she stitched him was in a Buddhist temple.
c. Universe/Nature law view: She interfered with her boyfriend's fate. He was supposed to die permanently but she kept bringing him back.
2. The schoolgirl ghost.
She is one of the "Pending Case". Her death remains unsolved, so she's haunting her school and keeps returning to her classroom. Which also happens to be the same school and classroom of the returnee student.
The student ghost's secret is probably just that, she's a ghost. The returnee student just haven't realized it yet (she's kind of slow 😅), so student ghost finally explained it to her.
Student ghost probably decided she wants returnee to solve her case.
3. There are many Light shops. Souls are assigned to them. Both living and dead.
4. The lights in the light shops that are shining brightly.
Those are the lights of those who chose to be residents of the Afterlife. (fiction trope) They don't want to move on to their next life. (reincarnation, heaven, hell, whichever)
5. Afterlife / Limbo world.
It is actually overlapping with the real world. It is the border between life and death. The living world and the next world (reincarnation, heaven, hell, whichever).
This is why some of them can be seen in the living world because it's just the same. Depending on the soul's desire, they can manifest themselves, like in the nurses's case where she almost died; or interact with objects, like the returnee student pressing the elevator button; or miss stitching randomly beeing seen.
6. Ghosthunters (for lack of an official term)
These are returnees who took on the job to bunt down ghosts doing havoc on the living world, so they can send them to hell or pushed them back to Afterlife/Limbo world.
How they escaped? Probably by sheer will. Got lucky. Or, there's a loophole in the system.
7. Returnees
There are different roles returnees can take.
a. The dectective chose to take on the mantle of a ghosthunter.
b. Miss nurse chose to help the comatose patients to know what to do by constantly whispering to them "to find the light shop and find their light".
c. Student returnee. Probably to help solve cases. Or, help student ghosts to calm down and move on. After all, she herself went through the same thing, lucky for her, the Light shop master she was assigned to, her grandfather, cheated again.
d. The basketball player. No idea.
e. The stitched man. To star in a horror movie I guess. 😂
And there are more, no doubt, since Miss Nurse has been doing it for a long time herself (5 years since she woke up).
8. The dead in Afterlife/Limbo world.
Sooner or later, they probably have to move on. How long? It depends. Time is faster in the Afterlife/Limbo world, that's why everyone who woke up feels like they were in a coma far longer than the official record.
And if they don't move on once it's time, there is probably some negative results.
Remember, in the early episodes, it was explained that there are evil spirits who wants to cross back to the living.
9. The mysterious teenager in the last scene.
Those are probably the living who were tasked to hunt diwn evil spirits who escaped into the living.
Evil spirits are different from souls who can't move on, or have an unfinished business, or wants to take revenge. It would explain why the teenager was hinted to have some sort of power, he's one of the evil spirit hunters. Technically, a special task force than the detective.
Or, he was a returnee who's helping revengeful souls and evil spirits to cross to the living world. For example, that student ghost said, "I followed you here". She was stuck in the Afterlife, so how was she able to follow, she didn't show any hostile aura unlike miss stitcher or the guy ghost who tried to kill miss nurse.
10. Season 2
I hope. They created a very good universe and ended with a lot of possibilities.
a. They can create a series about soul hunters (detective).
b. They can create another series for student ghost and how she and returnee student worked together to solve her case.
c. Miss Nurse eventually retired, got tired of ghosts, and chose to be a chef. But ghosts just can't stop following her. 😅
d. The teenager who snapped his fingers, what I'm suspecting as an evil spirit hunter, is probably a returnee. However, when people like him returned, they had uncanny powers.
e. Finally, they can tell the story of the stitch couple as a movie. Maybe entitle is as "The Stitching", or "The Needle". 👻
ULeague set up, at least up to E05 (Intercept), is also a big risk for F&F Entertainment. The judges are the audiences and the online voters, and elimination are based on votes and which team didn't win Top per round.
This means that there's a possibility for a least performing to debut as long as their team keeps winning. As well as for the favourites and top contenders to get eliminated if their team always get yellow cards.
Basically, again so far as we know up to Intercept stage, F&F left the entire future of the future group to the audiences and voters. No judges to accuse of "they were told to save this contestant and that" like the drama that happened in UTicket.
If they continue this type of format, no judges, it's going to be a huge risk for F&F.
Regardless of the outcome, if the new group can pull it off, then it can become a huge success for F&F for being very brave on giving the power to the audience and voters. This might actually start a new trend. (Although, the "no judges" format started in Mainland China, I forgot which show it was, purely audience voting.)
It's a double-edged sword. We are all aware how unpredictable audience voting and online voting can be.
After watching ep 3 What the hell , the live audience did beat bench team so dirty like atleast they should have…
That's the appeal of ULeague, you can't predict what's going to happen, not like with UTicket. Even F&F is risking everything, they might end up with members who are not ready; and those they really like getting eliminated.
The judge this time are the audiences and voters. Less possibility of being accused that the judges were told who to pass, since the public are the judges.
this show is so boring and putting a mentor with no dance background just make it worse, i was so hyped for this,…
All the directors are idols, not regular K-pop, when they started. That means all of them have singing and dance skills, and they know what they're doing. Regardless, so what if they don't have or only a regular K-pop (not an idol)? They were invited because they're respected and known in Korea. Remember, it's a Korean show and their primary market is Korea.
It's actually good. Comedy. Light. Also it's inspiring, especially when it comes to talking about life. For example, everyone have a story to tell, secrets they're keeping, and only makes it appear they have a perfect family. But in reality? We're all struggling in our own ways, trying to makedo with what we've been given, and survive yet another day.
From a teenager B*, to a sweet sister and girl-next-door girlfriend, to a police detective. She's trying all sorts of roles and she's knocking it all! Even though she started late in her acting studies, she's doing great!
I hope you get more projects and find that one or two themes you want to excel with and be known for. Try an action and suspense too, but only pick one or two later to focus on. Being a master is better than being an all rounder, that's how you can leave your mark in this industry that is so competitve.
You still have time. Show us what you've got! We'll wai for you. 🖖🏽

I'm just reacting to this Live-Action adaptation.
Here's my "Explained" session.
