He's got to be big mouse right, or at least in cohorts with them? There's to many crazy things he's done for that…
Yep. It is impossible for someone pretending to be an ordinary person to have known everything that is about to happen and yet still feeling/acting "me against the world".
- He was confident about the list. - He was confident nothing will come out of the witness. - He knew the flowers will arrive and Ji Hoon's wife will call at that very moment.
And yet he acts like he is all alone in all of it, just an ordinary citizen who was wrongfully accused. There is also the Warden who controls the flow of information in and out of the prison. If he's getting information from the outside (and sending orders from the inside), it means he has a far stronger and overreaching network and he knows how to use it well to his advantage.
Two possible things here: 1. He is "Big Mouse", the head of an organization; or 2. He is "Big Mouse", a top secret agent of a black ops.
As of episode 5-- https://kisskh.at/discussions/big-mouse/77571-let-the-speculations-begin
Another crazy possibility. Big Mouth / Big Mouse is actually a top secret agent. It probably runs in their family, his father was also a top secret agent.
Even how he ended up marrying Mi Ho was probably a long-term orchestration as part of his cover up.
We've known (and it happens in real life) how top secret agents, and even the government agencies themselves, do keep a stash of illegal funds so they don't have to go through the red tape when they need to conduct an operation.
There are two possibilities if this is the case:
It was a long-term plan to bring down Ji Hoon and his gang. He was activated after the Mayor recruited him as their lawyer -- which is technically and possibly their plan to ensure he can get "inside" them without them learning the government is into them.
Now, he is trying to be very strict and focus to protect his wife, ready to sacrifice their relationship for the sake of their secret operation to bring down Ji Hoon and his gang. He even gave the Mayor a choice who he will side with.
After all, there is no possible way Big Mouth knew the correct list, knew flowers will be sent to Ji Hoon's wife, knew things happening outside unless he has a network.
Someone who is simply pretending to be an ordinary guy can not possibly have a network outside. In the first place, he won't be able to send a message to anyone without the Warden knowing it. It means he has a well established network inside and outside.
I get the feeling the one guard who is always around might be big mouse ...
It's possible but why is it every move of Big Mouth in episode 5 were exact? He was even able to send flowers to Ji Hoon's wife at the exact moment he wanted to.
While at the same time, the ML seems to have no idea who is Big Mouse. The ML can not possibly know the witness will die (hence his confidence), or there will be flowers sent, or the list was fake.
As of episode 5-- https://kisskh.at/discussions/big-mouse/77571-let-the-speculations-begin
As of episode 5, it's leading us to believe that Big Mouth is actually Big Mouse; and he was pretending not to be all this time.
If this is true, then the question is why he's doing it.
Ji Hoon admitted Big Mouse's organization is wide. Mi Ho was surprised herself when the Mayor told her about the list of names. Mi Ho is definitely out of the list of suspects. Big Mouth knows everything that is going to happen, hence his confidence.
When Big Mouth and the Mayor met, Big Mouth said it was the Mayor who dragged him and not the other way around.
If so, and if Big Mouth is indeed Big Mouse, then it means Big Mouth/Mouse never had plans to get involved with the Mayor and Ji Hoon after he stole their money.
But since the Mayor recruited him as the incompetent lawyer, he had no choice but to implement his plans. If so, then it was him who tipped the police about the specific locations of the money and drugs in his office so he can get inside the prison where the three suspects are.
This the Mayor realized hence he asked him when he started to pull his (the Mayor's) strings.
As of episode 5, Big Mouth appears to be Big Mouse and had planned everything from the moment the Mayor hired him.
The other question is, who are the members of his organization?
junho did say that..but junho then explained that even though he's not into those type of dates,he is willing…
You missed the point a very crucial point. ^_^
Joon Ho said it in desperation, in an argument, after he heard from Young Woo that they are not [officially] dating. The mere fact that he had to say it to justify himself is proof it is tearing him up.
You don't say those things in a relationship, especially not in an argument. The result is always the other party going to reply similarly.
Have you not noticed how Young Woo threw back his own argument back at him? She herself made sacrifices. She herself did things which were too challenging for her. But she never said anything about it.
We have a Filipino word for that, "sumbat". There is no exact word in English about "sumbat". What Joon Ho did was "sumbat" and Young Woo replied in kind ("sumbat" too).
If it is truly "okay", as you claimed, then Joon Ho would not even dare tell that to Young Woo, especially to an autistic. How Young Woo replied back is how I did it a lot of times.
You never ever count your sacrifices for your partner, in an argument or not. You simply don't do that.
It just proves that it is tearing up Joon Ho deep inside. Suddenly, all his "understanding" of an autistic person flew out the window.
Deep inside him, he is struggling. But he is choosing not to address those things, or he does not know how to. If left that way, it will eventually lead to a break-up. If they end up getting married with those things still bottled up, it will destroy their marriage.
Been there. Done that. Experienced it. Even relationship psychologists and marriage counselors say the same thing.
Young Woo breaking up with him has given him a chance to address those things he can not say. It is his chance to bail out without feeling guilty he hurt her.
If he chooses to be with her, then it means he made a decision not because of his emotions but because he chose to be with her. That no matter what, that even if they have lovers quarrel, he will never give up on her.
I know people who are like that. Their break up only made them stronger. Their break up changed them. Their break up made them realize their love for each other is beyond emotions and hormones.
I think I'm one of the only ones who doesn't see so much chemistry in the main couple, they have never really…
> they have never really had a serious conversation and Junho didn't have a good time on dates, he even looked embarrassed
Which is good because it means they properly depicted what actually happens in many Autistic-NT relationships. It is good that neurotypicals / non-autistics are seeing a glimpse of it.
I see what you mean. But it seems that the plot is being fast forwarded frequently and we only see key tidbits…
> And yea, it didn't seem like ML was enjoying his time with FL lately.
Exactly. Even before episodes 13 and 14, they were already showing cracks in their relationship.
They will break- up sooner or later and it is actually good they did sooner rather than later. There is still a chance of getting back together because it happened sooner. If the break up happens later, far less chance of getting back together … more likely than not they'll only end up as friends.
Dude!! do you know what a break up is?? a break up contrarily to what Korean dramas have you believe is not something…
I think majority of people in MDL are teenagers who haven't experienced real relationships and the real world.
They can't even see that the show is dealing with autism and prejudices people have about autistics, all they see is their "I want this" and "I want that" fantasy.
It's actually ironic because the way they're acting now because of episodes 13 and 14 is exactly the whole point of the show.
I feel like I am the only one in the comments that is still fully vibing with the drama lolI am honestly happy…
> I am honestly happy that they made Lee Joon Ho and Woo Young Woo break up, and my reasoning is that they both aren't perfect. If they went through till the end all happy in a relationship it wouldn't be realistic.
Exactly.
Also, they already showed cracks in their relationship before episode 13 and 14. Even without the harsh words of Joon Ho's sister, they will eventually break-up.
It is much better they broke-up because of Joon Ho's sister because then they haven't hurt each other to the point of no return. It that happens much later, they would have reached that point of no return because of all the misunderstandings they have shown to each other.
But by doing the whole break up thing the message of the drama changes drastically and becomes: Don't date autistic…
As an autistic, I disagree that the message changed to "Don't date autistic people, society and family will disapprove, no matter how much you love them."
In fact it highlighted the prejudice of people who call themselves "normal" against autistic people and how it affects our relationship with a neurotypical partner.
It is real. It happens a lot in real life. It is NOT a "cliché" nor is the writer simply creating "conflict & tension" as some people in MDL are claiming repeatedly.
"For crying-out-loud, they are already showing cracks in their Autistic - Neurotypical relationship! In a previous episode, Joon Ho complained how he did a lot of things for her even though he doesn't enjoy it. Which Young Woo countered with the exact same thing!
"Even if Joon Ho's sister was more understanding and more accepting of autistics, their relationship already have cracks. Sooner or later they will still break-up."
It saddens me, and is making me angry, that people are dismissing real life challenges, discrimination, prejudices, stigma in this advocacy show as nothing but "clichés".
Good for you that you were not born autistic, otherwise, you wouldn't see these things as "clichés" in an advocacy show.
Ironically, these reactions just proved the whole point of the show: discrimination, prejudice, and stigma.
No like what happened to this drama? Why? Why are they going to all the routes I dislike?? Huh??First of all,…
You're forgetting that this is not a fantasy drama. It is an advocacy show thus it will depict what actually happens in real life.
Like it or not, family members, even non-family members, do see a relationship with autistics as "taking care of us". In fact, there are accounts here in MDL leaving such nasty comments like how we autistics should be left in an island; or should not get into a relationship.
These are the things EAW is exposing. Real life discrimination, prejudice, and stigma about autism and against us autistics.
----
Also, re: break up. I left a comment in another thread that I expect them to break up and later come back together. The break up is needed because it is what happens in real life when us autistics get into a relationship with neurotypicals.
There was also a thread which talked about him coughing blood. We even shared the possible causes. It's obviously serious, why you assumed it was a joke is beyond me.
Also, family drama over the relationship really fits into this one. But I'm just too tired of the family making…

Big Mouse is a person and the head of their organization, at least as per episode 5 translations.
