SRQ and Shangguan Ya by the order of the Li Chuan.
Thanks for the spoiler. I always like to speculate on what could motivate folks. My hypothesis was off but it could have worked too LOL. Personally I am really enjoying the show.
SRQ and Shangguan Ya by the order of the Li Chuan.
I knew that LC was behind it in the first timeline. The way SRQ keeps focusing on wanting to keep his family and her safe (plus she backed a different CP). My hunch is that LC probably promised SRQ that he would rehabilitate his family and allow for their ancestral tablets so he chose filial piety over his partner. I personally don't see him as a villain but as a victim. He was rightfully deeply traumatized by what happened to him and his family in the first timeline and will go to any length to stop LC in this one. Him and FL have the same goal (stop the atrocities from happening) but different means (he wants to eliminate LC and she wants to stop his darkening).
While ppl pity to Princess Wanning, I am not. I know she was threatened bad...but she then choose to blame "everyone".…
Empress Wu Zetian who started her own dynasty did the same thing: she was the concubine of the father than the main consort of the son. Back then when concubines where often buried alive with the late emperor or condemned to a harsh life as a nun once she was widowed, she did what she had to do to survive. She was not a good person but they obviously loved each other and she was definitely his ride or die.
I hate them both, but I definitely hate her more. As a woman, she should know how important a woman's reputation…
I was also disappointed it all boiled down to stupid jealousy. I was really hoping for a female villain like Rou Jia in the Legend of Zhuohua who wants the throne for herself and is not fighting over some dude like a psychotic pickme.
Considering she is not only an accomplice but pressured him into doing it, that woman thinking is twisted to start…
I don't agree with you. I am definitely not an apologist for him. He is a weak piece of trash and deserves whatever comeuppance comes his way. I was just pointing out that the mother was twisted too (I was hoping he had poisoned her tea but all he did was put her to sleep)
ep 24: why they keep showing the ex looking all melancholic and sad??? am I suppose to feel sorry for him? I don’t…
I think his conscience is troubling him for being so weak and pathetic and murdering the woman he "loved" instead of protecting her. Personally I'd like to see him kill the freaking princess then commit suicide.
i think the step mom had affair with that weird looking guy and got pregnet, so she blamed on JL for killing the…
I think so too and she goes beyond the scheming evil stepmother stereotype. She tried to burn her lover alive (generally those types only target other women'). I hope he turns on her, he is a bit creepy and stalkerish with his paintings but what she did to him was horrible.
just checking in if this drama is still good since it aired half way already =))) let know thanks
Just watch #25 and it is brilliant and will keep you riveted to your seat. Go for it! FL is super smart but still very humane despite the trauma she endured. She is out to right wrongs rather than for brutal revenge. Very likeable woman. All actors are great and storyline is solid and interesting so far.
It's out with eng subs on Wetv up to ep 16. I also found the playlist with english subs on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9R9D8WbsTE&list=PLyLbHF3-UFDACZX7W_9D5u6tBr_3rsh_K&index=27 it is an entertaining mini detective/romance drama. ML and FL acting is a bit contrived at times but the cinematography is really pretty, I like the costumes. and the story is interesting so far.
