I am seeing death flags for her too :( I was heart broken when he tried to choke her when all she did was trying to gift him the handerchief he had given her. It showed his imbalanced state of mind and I am worried that she ll end up killed during the upcoming mess like FL's sister was. She is definitely in a very difficult situation.

I thought it was hilarious that FL's stepmother did so many evil things but the one which she is ashamed of and that her snob useless son in law looks down on was selling congee (aka making an honest living). Yes he was. The rods when his POS gave him a beating where dipped in poison. I feel the same way as you do btw. I am very into the story and the series is excellent but I m getting a bit sick and tired of all those sad endings lately

The last slap was SO deserved. He s lucky FL is a nice person, he deserved to be jumped seriosuly

I have mixed feelings about ep 21. On one hand, the sister is just a naive, sweet sheltered girl in this timeline and I want to beat up her husband and SIL (that slap was sooo deserved) , on another hand, she betrayed her sick sister and was very callous in the first timeline.

FL is a class act the way she handles it and when she said at the beginning that her sis had not hurt her in this timeline yet, I am not sure I could not only take the high road like her but also being kind and supportive.

My first time watching a cell phone format mini drama. This is WILD and reminds me a lot of a manhua. Really enjoying it.

oh good. All those sad endings lately was getting a bit old

I am watching this and Fangs of Fortune. I watch the first episode of LGIEF because I liked the mahua then dropped it: It just look cheap and slapstick comedy is not my cup of tea

Thank you, I ll check it out. I often have a similar issue because whenever i see comments about FLs being obnoxious I am never sure whether it is true (some FLs are like the one in the Longest Promise) or if it is misogyny on the commenter part.

I dropped it. It s not awful but I have watched some wonderful high budget series with great actors lately (Rebel Princess, Story of Minglan, Legend of Shenli, Marvelous women) so I am kind of spoiled and the acting and production just didn't cut it.

I might pick it back up if I get into a drama slump. I also dropped Rise of Ning for simiar reasons.

I have the series on pause right now . I am watching the Story of Minglan and it feels a bit like the Temu version of it .

I am glad I am not the only one who noticed. Ren Mi looks beautiful in this series and I was wondering whether it was because I couldn't stand her character in TLP or because maybe she got some work done. (no hate, I had some work done myself LOL)

Her voice doesn't annoy me here, maybe because she is not whining shrilly Shifuuuuu every other scene .

I just finished episode 18 and LOVE the series but can't stand the ML . The way he was going to con poor Yanran to give his mistress a tittle and how he falls for her crying victim act he s just like Minglan father. His dishonesty in not telling that he had a mistress and 2 kids then the nerves to blame Minglan for ruining his wedding prospect. Sir, your woman ruined it for you, Minglan saved a friend from having her life ruined.
Second ML is a mama's boy. As it is now, I m rooting for Minglan to become a court official like momo Kang!
