I've only watched InK, and while sometimes I get annoyed with female leads that act like this, in this case I wasn't -at all- since Kotoko was just a teenager and well, back in my school days, we girls were kinda like this with our crushes :) and I don't think Irie-kun was ever a jerk with her, he didn't humiliated in front of friends and stuff... I don't know, I think this was just a sweet, teen romance and not the frustrating thing some people think of Ink *shrugs**

ohh my children <3 how great to see an article about them here :) I was thinking of watching Yokoso for the song Aokimi only, because it is one of my fave Arashi songs <3 Yes, some of their songs are soo relatable to their dramas, to me some of them are "oh this is so Nino (Guts)", "this is MJ's song (One Love), etc

Arashi has such a strong presence in my daily life (their songs and varieties and radio shows and concerts ) that I can't imagine how 2021 is going to be like without them :(((

you say "trashy" but seems like it left a big impression on you, so that's a plus
wow so defensive! it was a simple comment because of course I like Fukakyon and I've seen your same comment in kissasian (yours was the only negative comment, of course I'll remember). No need to be so sensitive, I didn't mean to sound as I was attacking you O_O

wow what a great article! although I am sure fans won't like it :( I didn't watch this show so I cannot comment on this, but for what I've seen in feeds and others, it is very popular. I agree that the fetish is disgusting, I don't know how fangirls dare to ask about "top" and "bottom" (and look at fangirls of boybands... they DO this kind of stuff and/or assume the sexuality of their so -idols)... I still read BL manga, there are many really good ones out there, but there are also many sucky ones with rapes than supposed to end in romance (?) Sadly, this violence in romance is still popular, even in straight romance.

oh? did I defend it? since you are leaving comments here and kissasian and every fukakyon drama, is it erroneous to think you have a particular impression on her? XD

What a nice article! I am planning to go to Japan at the end of the year, and the cities I look more forward to are the little towns, they are so charming! The scenery in the drama set in Kyoto was, unfortunately, the only thing I liked about this drama. I have Osozaki in my PTW list, I have to give it priority, thank you!

Oh look, its Fukada Kyoko. The same chick who was in that trashy student-teacher drama with that pink haired kid.…

Nice and simple story. Grandma dies and granddaughter goes to her hometown in Kyushuu, and learns about her grandma's story.

I think the special episode tells about their past more. The romance in that episode is more interesting, but…
Yes I agree. i didn't find their romance interesting during the drama, but this SP made me change my mind. It was a sweet relationship.
On Your Turn to Kill Special Jul 1, 2019
I wasn't going to watch this since I didn't find Shota and Nana's love story so interesting, but with ep10 I wanted to watch more and this didn't disappoint. So anyone who think of skipping this, I would recommend to watch it instead.

ehh I've seen him in many roles it seems, like the Nobunaga one, I didn't know it was him. He didn't make an impression on me till I saw him in Good Wife. He was really good there. And I also liked him in Tonari no Kazoku (I loved this drama). I am interested in Suzuki-sensei and Aogeba.

And I love his two moles... moles are so cute!

wow one anti-hero from a J-drama yayy! that was a nice surprise XD I liked Kame as Yamaneko, he sure had fun doing this role. I would recommend Kusanagi in Uso no Sensou (he only wanted revenge) and Komikado-sensei in Legal High (he loved money so much he didn't care about other unnecessary things, ha)

Thank you for this article! I've read your comment when you finished (or were watching it?) this drama and I got interested. I am even more interested now that I've read this article ^_^ I just have to download it to start watching it :)

I've watched 3 of 7. At least I think Last Recipe wasn't so depressing as the other 2 I've watched. So for anyone who didn't watch any of these, I would recommend to start with LR. Thanks for this article!

Great article! It is like a subtle shout-out "thank you" for all of them. I appreciate all of their hard-work so much, I never take them for granted. One of my favorite subbers is earth-colors because she subbed many of my fav doramas and she is very consistent as well.

I love the dedication of these subbers, some of them are so dedicated they add an explanation or description or meaning of some word :D "Gomen ne Seishun" is a clear example, I had to stop several times to read what X-word meant :D
