Whatever the reason, obvious or hidden, someone who gives up their life must have suffered. When we reach the point…
Beautifully written.

Stop with your conspiracies. If anything, it's not related to social media or Korean society. On the contrary,…
Stop attacking other members here.

First of all, I'd ask uneducated people here who don't understand anything about their lives, probably bored Americans,…
“First of all”, this is about the death of a beloved actor, grief for him, his family, and friends. And many of us mourning him are Americans—even “educated”—who are not at all “bored”. We are here to share our love and sorrow. It may not be exactly as you see things, but you do not have a corner on any part of the discussion—only your opinion.

(Love the picture you used above.)

I hope where he is now, Lee Sun Kyun can feel the overwhelming sorrow around the world, but also feel the love for him and concern for his family and friends. He remains forever one of the world’s greatest actors. Millions love him so much and will miss him terribly: his gifts and his beautiful voice.

I am also grieving for his family and friends as though he was My Mister, too 💔 🕊️

Title Hard Days Spoiler
Well-made and acted until the sloppy ending. It didn’t fit the rest of the film and wrecked it IMO.

Most barf inducing pairing ever with a 45 yr old man in a romance bleaaaaaaaaah
Classic immature ageism. But he needs no defense since he is gorgeous, brilliant, and gifted—with millions loving him around the world.

Now that it had finally ended I wanna take a moment to discuss what I liked about the drama:1- that it ends2-qing…
The actor needs no defense. But what you posted is, strictly speaking, ageism—as reprehensible and offensive as sexism, racism, and any other -ism based on bias.

Title My Dearest Part 2 Spoiler
My take away: GC’s growth into the strong, protective, loving woman she becomes is one of the finest in film. And JH always knew who she was. Ahn Eun Jin’s transition in her performance is magnificent. The princess who wants JH so much does the right thing in the end: because she in fact does love him in her way. The cast on all levels is one of the most talented in KDrama—and they made us care. The production team taught us about the Qing invasion of Korea, as well as the betrayals of Korean leaders in power, and kept those effects, especially on the people, firmly in front of us.

Min Nam Koong as Jang Hyun created one of the most heroic characters in film, and he does it with his deceptive fan, steady calm, interrupted when needed by explosive defenses of his people and the woman he loves. But he is also funny, ironic, and adorable, created through his warm, beautiful voice, and the delicate expressions from his eyes and mouth. The man is simply beautiful and so gifted we fall in love with his characters.

So though I didn’t like his getting beaten up all the time and being forced to use the amnesia trope not once but twice—I love “My Dearest” and its cast and production team and especially the character Jang Hyun that Min NamKoong created and so many of us fell in love with.

And I also loved the camaraderie here with others who wrote such wonderful posts all these weeks we shared the experience. It was a great ride.

Let me start with this, this is hands down the best Korean drama of 2023. In the whole of 2023 up until the first…
Agree. I think we have one of the finest dramas and a multiple awards winner on the way to becoming a classic. I also think/hope they are listening to the fan base bc whatever they have done or are doing here at the end…it will likely\hopefully give us the closure the series deserves. And that could be several. Yep. I’m trying to stay calm. ;). ❤️
On The Worst of Evil Nov 13, 2023
Well-written, brilliantly directed and acted, this is an excellent series but also very dark and painful. And with enough well-orchestrated but savage gang fights that I never want to see another. At the same time, the exploration of relationships is well done and ultimately touching.
