You should see some of the Chinese dramas. Some people are 35 episodes in and still leaving whining comment after…
This is insane to me.
If I don't like something, I don't persist. I give up after the second or third episode.
Unfortunately, I don't have much free time, so I watch fewer dramas than I'd like. Therefore, I would never persist with something I clearly don't like.
But I don't criticize the actors, because sometimes the script is just bad (or doesn't work for me). I prefer to simply watch something else.
The actors wouldn't be cast if they weren't good and popular. No TV network or streaming service wants to lose money.
Wooshik and Somin are always cast because many people like them.
lol what. there's literally a whole part when wooju is eating with jingyeong where they talk about wooju's ex…
Based on some of the critical comments, I seriously doubt whether these people are actually watching the drama or even paying attention to the dialogue.
If Wooshik is indeed in 'Whale Star', and everything indicates that he is, wouldn't the fact that production only effectively starts on April 26, 2026, mean that he has ample time in his schedule before then?
Perhaps to film 'The Waking' (if that drama actually happens).
I'm just speculating, as I don't have any information about this drama.
The behind-the-scenes videos released by SBS are getting crazier and crazier 🤣
Wooshik and Somin said in interviews that they had a lot of fun together and laughed a lot. From what we see in the behind-the-scenes videos, they really did have a great time.
Wooshik has basically become Jung Somin's official comedian.
There's simply a moment where she can't stand up and sits on the floor laughing.
There's the house, the fake marriage that could even lead to a lawsuit, the fact that she's still officially married to that guy, the breakup, which is very recent after 5 years of dating...
It's not that simple. She couldn't even call the police because of the whole marriage situation.
Give her another chance.
With Woojoo (the good one) confessing his feelings to her, we might see a more decisive attitude from her in the next episode.
I understand some criticism regarding her ex's absolutely harmful behavior.
In fact, his presence bothered me in episode 6.
But I understand some of Meri's attitudes. The breakup is still fresh, and she's still afraid of being discovered by him (they're still officially married, about the house, about another Woojoo taking his place).
In practice, taking someone else's place could even lead to a lawsuit. She certainly has concerns about all of this.
But I hope that with Woojoo (the good one) confessing his love for her, the situation will improve regarding her ex.
She now has a new strong reason to get rid of him once and for all.
After a weekend filled with #WouldYouMarryMe, the new episodes were well-received and watched both in Korea and internationally.
After peaking at 9.7% viewership in Korea, the SBS drama reached the top spot among all dramas broadcast on Saturday.
The drama also returned to #1 on the Kinolights popularity chart. — Kinolights is an integrated search platform that bases its rankings on data collected from all streaming platforms operating in Korea.
Internationally, the drama returned to #2 on the Disney+ Global chart, currently ranking in the Top 10 in over 15 countries.
I hope that changes and that the movie is acquired by a streaming service in the coming months.
Movie release in February 2026

If it is, we finally have something concrete.
However, no other cast members have been confirmed yet (only Wooshik).
Let's wait and see.
It's not perfect. It has some problems.
But it entertained me a lot, and that's enough for me.
Great cast.
And yes, I understand and respect most of the criticism being made.
However, the drama's problems didn't spoil my experience.
It was light and fun and worked perfectly for me.
If I don't like something, I don't persist. I give up after the second or third episode.

It broke its own records in the Seoul metropolitan area, in national viewership, and in peak viewership (11.1%).
It again led the viewership among programs airing on Friday and Saturday nights.
I'll say it again, the world doesn't revolve around random hater comments written on kisskh.
Because it doesn't make sense that someone who didn't like something is still watching and commenting after an absurd 10 episodes, does it?
Just watch and draw your own conclusions.
You might like it or you might not; only you can be sure of that by watching a few episodes.
It was a compliment to the actor and the character.
Anyway, you get the idea... 🤣
Interestingly, it was an episode where Meri's ex-fiancé didn't appear (what a coincidence, right?).
Woojoo's psychopathic uncle is a much better villain than that abusive, awful, and charmless ex-fiancé.
The uncle is intelligent, mysterious, interesting...
The ex-fiancé is just ridiculous and awful.
I loved the episode. The uncle will be arrested next week, but know that he was a real villain.
Perhaps to film 'The Waking' (if that drama actually happens).
I'm just speculating, as I don't have any information about this drama.

It's really cool to see that.

Actually, this is the first time I've seen her; I didn't know her.
Anyway, in some situations she might lack a little more experience, but overall she's convincing.
But I also don't think you can expect a performance on the level of Wooshik and Somin, who are much more experienced and highly skilled actors.
I need more of this.

This is indeed a great weekend.
