honestly cdrama makers are experts at using the whole damn show dillydallying and then rushing the last 10 or 5 eps and ruining the whole drama by giving it a super unsatisfactory pathetically rushed ending. this right here is one of the numerous dramas that satisfy all these drawbacks. u call that an ending? and what were those last 5 eps? god there were so many deleted scenes that it was sometimes difficult to even understand what just happened and where did that come from. it doesnt even feel that the story finished yet they ended it midway. im so annoyed rn!

tang hua and her entire arc really ruins the show fr. i am so so annoyed by her and to a lot of extent she ruins things every time there could have been a moment between the fl and ml

he does get married, but there's zero love triangle element . its more like the new wife becomes a mentor to li wei and yin zheng.. said this so that u might consider to not drop this as u said u enjoyed it

tried watching this so many times because i totally love the story but every time had to drop it before even finishing the first ep all thanks to the repulsive subs in the directors cut version.. anyone who knows where i can find it with understandable subs?

up till the last minute i wished at they have a second chance T_T but anyway wrapped things up perfectly and overall it was a great show, loved every minute of it. but i still believe they deserved a 2nd chance together.

yeah watched that ep yesterday.. but idk how things will go coz li dai still hasnt been a snitch yet, and clearly theres someone else in their office who is bts

i seriously don't like tang hua.. pretty much all she does is gossip about absolutely everyone and be unreasonably harsh with her patients and their families without even getting her facts straight. how come she wasn't fired with so much unprofessionalism!

us 🙂 and pretty sure there are lot others too. that old woman is disturbing. after ep 14, li dai no longer bothers me for now, idk what will happen later, but that woman -_-

neither of them know how to fight, not even the men .. guess they just stuck to their books all the time lol

i rarely like kids in cdramas because they are mostly obnoxious, but bai zhus son is total mood! i love his character

well he didnt finish the marriage, but whatever he did was to make shanggu hate him and forget him so that she doesn't feel too hurt

happy ending, though u might wish that it lasted longer

how much i love the empress! she is so kind and loving, an amazing mother figure, gotta be my most favorite character in the whole series.. i like consort yue too, her bluntness, bravery, dominance and wit, befitting of a queen.. also about the story i liked how they explored that no one is necessarily 2d character, villains can be evil in general, but they might be the heroes to their family.. liked the banter between yuan shanjian n the fl lol

he does get better.. i watched till 12, im liking him more with each ep... him slowly falling for her is toning down his asshole characteristics loll

ep 7 was pure circus.. lol and i loved it.. but yang huas mom and li dai are really getting on my nerves now .. like for real.. li dai needs to stop her pathetic obsession with defeating qin shi and his mom needs to stop her madness

i think it maybe because of the picture of him that she has presented in front of everyone as a perfect man, successful and rich and in a loving relationship with his wife... or it might just be fir the sake of sarcasm
