I just finished the novel and must say i loved the main leads and their relationship.. but never found a character named bai xiao sheng.. so guessing that they are gonna divert a lot from original story

I agree with you. Even in other dramas this is a pattern that I noticed, that even though they have wonderful costumes for the rest of the cast, the fl almost never gets the costumes as beautiful as them

Yeah same genre but i don't think u have read the novel but this one is pretty heavy, the fl doesn't have much chance to be like the stupid jinmi in aol. Her character is really sort of tragic and it is a heavier role, UNLESS they divert from the novel and decide to show her as an airhead

Same. I didn't see him as villain either. He was just so pitiful and then obsessed. "Annoying Plant girl" lololol . Yeah his servant girl was seriously thousand times better than plant girl.

Really unpopular opinion, but if it were the ml who suffered irreparable losses and did everything to avenge himself or get back what should've been his, he would be said to be super cool and badass, but since it was sml who did that, he became the villain.
P.s i don't ship jinmi and runyu. Jinmi and xufeng suit each other with their hypocrisy and selfish personalities.
No hate on any of the actors, they did their roles perfectly. It's just how the ml and fl characters are written that i hate.
