Title My Stand-In
To put things in perspective, there are no non-consensual sex scenes in this show (I'm not talking about the novel)…
Keyword: interrupted which leaves room for doubt in the show regarding what would have happened unlike in the novel. I must have missed the "plenty" sexual harassment outside of that scene in ep 7 and that one forced kiss when Ming was sober and trying to make new Joe a voluntary stand in. My point is we don't get to see full blown grape scenes.

i heard that one of the male lead's flag is redder than that of vegas, then why does it have such high ratings?
To put things in perspective, there are no non-consensual sex scenes in this show (I'm not talking about the novel) like there were in KP. I don't know what's a greater deal breaker than the romanticization of that.

Dint have much expectation bcz I genuinely liked the novel but I dint expect it to be this bad n boring.
To each its own. I read the novel and like the show much better. The direction is stellar. I'm glad they got rid of the non-consensual scenes. Joe's internal dialogue, sprinkled at times with internalized homophobia in the novel, was such a turn-off for me. The same goes for the narrator's justification/explanation of Ming's rapey behavior.

On a side note, I'm here for the soft top representation the writers were going for.

The thing is Ming is not written as "manly". He is written as " delicate and pretty", and that's what drew Joe towards him. Ming is also supposed to be much younger than Joe. The production made the perfect choice in terms of looks and acting skills.
