Just finished and I can say the ending is perfect. It not the usual kdrama ending but something way better and completely unexpected. 10/10

Wow just finished this and all I can say is this is definitely a top 5 of my favorites, up there with flower of evil, Nirvana in fire (although completely different) and the guest and mouse. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality watch.

There are a lot of changes and missing details I would say overall it’s about 80% correct if we had gotten season 3 it most likely would have been closer to 90%

For example- we know Ning Que is not the generals son but the porters son, however in the book Ning Que knew they were looking for young boys so he killed the generals son that night and left the body out so they would stop looking to kill boys at Lin manor. In the book Ning que is a lot less heroic and does a lot of dark stuff like that. He also killed other people that night just so he could escape, all this is left out in the show to make him more of a good guy.

I was going to watch this but after reading the comments I don’t think I will.

The first one was better I think, I will admit that I’m more into “fluffy” plots and happy stories so this was outside my comfort zone but there just seems to be something missing that season one had. 8/10 is the best I can give it.

Just finished And I mean what is that ending it almost makes the whole show no worth it unfortunately, I loved this but in the end we got like no resolution whatsoever. This better bet s2

This show was amazing this is so underrated it’s a shame, honestly I could give this a 10/10

This is a hidden gem. Really great start and finish which is rare in these types of shows they usually fall apart at the end but this one stayed strong.

I guess I just came into it with high expectations, it’s not bad by any means, it’s just not at the level I was expecting.

This is great. It’s light hearted and funny (until the end) this was the perfect break from all the crime dramas I have been watching. I love the scene where the mom was watching Lovely Writer it was so funny. My biggest problem is the ending, how can a bl end like this it is disappointing.
