The ML was very good, his potential is far above his role in this drama. I found the FL depressing to watch, she rarely smiled and just looked so unhappy for most of the story. Can't tell if her character was just written this way as I haven't read the webtoon. Overall it isn't too bad - ending is happy - an okay filler while waiting for something better to come along.

what's heavenly about this heavenly realm please?
I haven't finished this yet but so far the heavenly realm's characters consist of 1 sheeplike follower, 1 hissing blonde and one self-absorbed, greedy, and misogynistic immortal who's obsessed with having power over a female he failed to get the first time round (King Bailing). Please tell me the demons win this round.

To be honest I have a love/hate relationship with this one. On one hand it was incredibly well performed, scripted and choreographed. It was emotionally charged and gripping right through to the end. I gave it an 8.5/10 because I did enjoy it. On the other hand though, there were a few things that didn't make sense, some things that felt like a pointless let-down and things that kept me awake at night from loathing and injustice.
An episode or two more could have explained a few things but keeping it short and impactful also worked. This is one that I might not treasure but it will stay with me a long time.

Actors did a fine job but the show was ruined for me by a totally messed up ending that rendered all the emotional build-up mute. Only redeeming quality was the cute white dog.

Breathtaking. The acting from all the cast was stella. It left me indescribably torn between heartbreak and happy.

I have given this drama a good rating, mainly to counter the above critics. I think you have to watch this drama not expecting it to be a soft romance like oh so many others. Maybe the synopsis doesn't prepare you for what it really is. This is hardcore, nasty and venomous. I would rather it didn't have the sex scenes that made it feel like watching US tv, however the storyline, mystery and the emotional flow of the characters made it very interesting and enjoyable. The narcissistic ex-wife was so on point, I hated her so much and the female lead's impassive handling of her should win an Oscar. The husband/s were great too. It's a great show if you are looking for something outside the box. Kudos to Kim Ryeo-Ryeong, the writer of the book that made this show a possibility.

I like dairy products. Nothing wrong with cheese, as a snack or in a tv show, cheesy is good. Watch this show if you like an offbeat rom-com with a great supporting cast full of interesting and not so average people. This show ticked all the boxes. Fun, quirky humour, slow to heat up romance that felt natural for the characters and their circumstances, a meaningful message about prejudice and second chances in life, lots of tough guy action and a truly happy 'dripping with melted cheese' ending. Enjoy!

This show was "I'm stupid and I'm with stupid" from start to finish on repeat. I made it through the 20 episodes only because I foolishly expected it to at least end in an interesting or satisfactory way, but nope. So many flaws and things that made no sense at all. 1. A king whose 'only' child he wants to murder because a witch, who has shown nothing but contempt for the royal family and blatantly tried to harm everyone including himself, has told him she must die. 2. A princess who has quite powerful magic but is too weak/stupid to use it on her enemies or to free herself from multiple traps and captivity. 3. A murderer who goes around ripping peoples hearts out for the witch's rituals is eventually identified and captured but at some point for no reason at all is roaming around the streets again as if nothing happened. I've given it a 5/10 and I feel that's generous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Amazing acting from the entire cast. Dylan Wang was the perfect ML for this role and a lot of fun to watch. There's lots of action, humour, a great story, excellent fx, interesting characters, mystery figures and some satisfying rogue justice. The focus isn't on the romance, there are some sweet moments between the M & F leads but the hero has more important things to do... like saving Dafeng. The story doesn't end with this drama, I look forward to seeing what comes next.

I'm up to episode 19 atm. I quite like this show and I have noticed that the platform I watch this on has removed the visuals for the show. I have since found out that the actor that plays the ML (Zhang Hao Wei) is blacklisted for problems in his personal life, to the point of his face being substituted in his most recent dramas. Whether or not you like him or approve of him personally, I can't help think that this is extreme. At the end of the day an actor is paid to do a job, if they do that job and do it effectively then they deserve to be recognised for it. Whether you condone his actions in his personal life or not. I quite liked his performance in this drama and hope that people don't throw this drama to the 'never watch' list just because of the bad publicity.

Who is the second couple?Do they have a happy end? From wich episode are they together?
The Emperor and Princess of Xiyan would probably be considered the 2nd couple, although the Crown Prince and his relationship with the General of Yan is significant as well. There is a budding relationship between the FL's long time friend and a good natured villager. Unfortunately there are very few happy endings in this drama.
On Kill Me Love Me Dec 12, 2024
I completed it and enjoyed it. It can't be compared to your typical drama of this genre and probably doesn't meet peoples expectations for that reason. I thought the acting was great. The crown prince was a worthy adversary who brought both angst and pity to the screen. The emperor was a fatherly figure, both intelligent and fair as a ruler and thoughtful as a husband, a rare thing in historical dramas. The ML was tough and equally scheming and later becomes a complete fruit-cake (crazy) over the FL, don't want to spoil the fun there, but I think the character is all the more charming for his faults. The FL starts out tough with martial arts and a kick-ass attitude. She maintains her strong personality even as her body is slowly weakening from being poisoned. There is some criticism here for her character becoming less than she was at the beginning, but it is her strength of personality and determination to not let others suffer that is the real purpose and motivation behind her character and I think the writers did her justice in this. If you watch this, expect it to be different - you may enjoy it more than you think.
I ended up really liking S2 and the conclusion to this series. At first I was 'what the...' why the new actress, then after recognising her as the one who role-played Naksu in the very beginning of S1 it started to make sense. The writers were a bit slow to getting around to explaining why Naksu now looked like her original self instead of the blind girl whose body she inhabited. Anything is possible with magic right? I was now ready to accept the new Naksu (technically the old Naksu) and cheer-on the girl with no memories whose spiteful and alarmingly abusive 'witch-mage-mother' made her life a living hell. I don't want to spoil this for anyone planning to watch so I won't mention any other plot points. I will say that all the acting is awesome. You will really continue to loath the evil characters and endear to the good ones. Everything that should be explained does eventually. Don't let the negative comments stop you - if you enjoyed S1 you will definitely enjoy S2 as well.

It's a good show. The interesting point is that two people are isekai'd at the same time. I thought they would…
IKR, the dowager queen had an amazing Pagoda built in her honour and she still wasn't happy. Geez some people are hard to please.

I keep telling them to let take out the pins from their hair! I think they do this a lot in costume dramas because…
Haha. In addition they totally missed they opportunity for the ML to swoon when the FL lets down her hair.

I have noticed varying degrees of like and dislike for this show. I really liked it though, and would highly recommend. It was quirky and a bit off beat but it made me laugh so much. All the actors were great. The serial killer plot was well handled and kept you guessing. It wasn't your typical romance but I like that it was different. Interesting take on age discrimination, both for the young and the old as well as the 'beauty is only skin deep' theme. I finished it with a big smile on my face :)
On Blossom in Heart Sep 12, 2024
It is simply too long. I liked all the actors, they did a great job with what they were given. I got to episode 30 and put it aside to watch other dramas which caught my attention. There were too many issues with the plot, too much filler, badly written script and not enough editing.
On Nancheng Banquet Sep 3, 2024
I liked this. It was shorter than most of this genre but it was well a structured story with no superfluous fluff, such as a fling between off-sider characters (eg. servants falling into romance that takes more screen time than they deserve). The ML & FL acted like a natural couple without cliches and the plot was easy to follow. It was enjoyable from start to finish. I hope the negative comments here don't stop you from trying it out for yourselves.

Title The Love of Immortal Spoiler
The movie was good. Story, acting, special effects etc not big budget but still good. The ending left you hanging, as if there should be a sequel to resolve the unfinished business. The current ending makes the whole story pointless. He fixed the demon's grudge, but she dies anyway and he ends up being the low rank immortal everyone steps on just as he was at the beginning. Just sad.
