Poor continuity. The abandonment issues in this series are outstanding. I have never seen parents abandon their…
the many situations that felt random in the series was because they did not have the same buildup as in the novel. some scenes don't even exist in the novel, but most of the key details were shown, just misplaced, causing the series to seem confusing.
for example, rooftop girl scene. it was to show Lu Xixiaos fear of heights, in the novel, they were juniors in highschool, so the scene would've occurred while they were still at school, luxixao went up there but was unable to help her, and Zhou Wan followed him up there and helped save her. in the novel, the school was against the students dating, so the girl trying to commit suicide was ridiculed and slapped by her mother in front of the students because she had a boyfriend, causing the whole school to find out. thats why the girl decided to jump, because she was publicly shamed and was abused by her mom at home.
the scene where they go on the glass bridge was supposed to be before they break up, so Lu Xixiao wouldn't be afraid of heights.
and Zhou Wan doesn't even work at a construction company, she majored in media, then started working at a newspaper company because of her boss harassing her in previous company. so the series left out an important scene with the impovershed grandma and granddaughter they had to interview, which reminded Luxixiao about Zhou wan and stuff ....
the novel was much better than the series, but at the same time the cinematography was really good, like in most cdramas
Why does it feel so slow?? The drama isnt bad but the episodes feels they are longer than they should be. I feel…
I agree...I like this drama, but I am also watchng it 2x speed, since it's a slow burn and theres a murder mystery, thats probably the reason why we want to finish it faster and see the characters develop
To be very honest, it depends on your choice of genre. I have seen most of the negative reviews coming from people…
yes!!! sol and sunjae had a nuanced relationship, people who think otherwise clearly weren't watching it carefully... sunjae fell in love at first sight, there's nothing really to it, they definitely had moments that weren't shown in the kdrama where he would be around her. he had a one sided love, she didn't notice it because she was "in love" with Taesung. they were together when Sol was hit by the car, she just didn't know that. and his life does revolve around sol because he literally became a witness to an attempted murder, which led him to be a target?! like you said he also gave sol a reason to live, she wasn't in love with him when he was an idol, she started to have feelings after she spent time with him.
like 8.7 is genuingly an insane rating for this and I’m not even hating but can we actually please be for real
well of course you think it's brain dead you probably started watching everything after it got spoiled and released. even mystery thrillers are boring after every episode is releases cuz everything is spoiled
Personally, I disliked the prosecutor from the very beginning. His face is just begging for a brick. Just very annoying.... The hyunwoo storyline is a bit similar to WWWSK but overall the story is so cute and funny
