You have to simply apply context to the age group and the the time the feminist wave coincidently happened in Korea. Even though they are not commonly accepted as the the nordic countries the koreans have somehow adopted the more radical version of it.

Also additionally from pure business standpoint the targeted audience for these drama's are the 18-34 year old girls. Therefore the scripts usually align along the lines of "The eternal struggle that the FL has to face in choosing between 2 rich handsome Billionares with either very little or no previous sexual experience.
Scripts like these will also get huge traction in national ratings in South Korea because you won't find a more domesticated men - hyper feminist society than south korean populace and it plays into their taste.

I just checked who is the screenwriter for this drama and it shows it's a female aged 43 which might really explain why we have 1 rich, good looking almost 40 year old virgin and another very good looking near 40 year virgin chasing after the same almost 40 year old aunty who they simply can't forget after a decade like they both got imprinted by her.

His project before this was "The Worst of Evil" where his undercover wife emotionally cheated on him with the SML. They balanced it out with him kissing another girl and ended by insinuating he broke up with her but not too clear. His another project was "Lovestruck in the City" where he was simping around for the majority of the drama again but even that was also balanced out in the end by writer. This is his 3rd project in the last 4 years where he is playing some sort of a spineless moron with this drama being the worst by far. He is deliberately choosing this kind of script.

Me liking My Demon ain't got nothing to do with this whack show. I dropped it (thankfully) because I saw it from a mile away what a shit show it was going to be. I was curious to see wether the ML was still the pathetic simp he was at the start or wether he changed and to the absolute surprise of no one he hasn't. So I don't need to give any reasoning o where and what I comment to some "peef".

You are not going to win against these wilful morons. If they wanted to know a difference or definition of a MAN all they have to do is sit silently at home and watch their mum and dad for an hour. I would usually blame the writer but in case of Ji Chang Wook I think it's either he got some cuck fetish or he gets some sort of weird kick out of playing this sort of character because this is the second time he has chosen a script like this. I believe he is mainstream enough to have his options so another might be he is in gambling debt to mafia because what kind of script selection is this....

I mean half of this can be excused because of the fact that these ML and FL have no prior history but dramas like this are significantly worse because he is almost a 40 year old dude who hasn't looked at another girl because he hasn't moved on from the FL who has moved on.

It's korean drama. That ain't happening. Best case scenario is ML simp around and "heal" her for about 10 episodes until she can make the tough decision and choose the ML from her 3 potential partners and then they will have a misunderstanding written into episode 14 which will only be solved by ML chasing her all the way to seoul.
