it seems unrealistic to u that he is still stuck on her but i promise i have seen cases like this. and i actually…
What's mothers trauma got to do with his relationship status? Sure he is traumatised and don't want to leave his hometown. That's completely reasonable and fair enough but that should have nothing to do with him deciding to no be in another relationship when he is damn near 40.
From the trailer😑😌 I hope this is about healing for both of them just like Hometown Cha because it seems…
Buckle up because that's exactly what this is going to be. I simply don't understand why Ji Chang Wook keep selecting scripts like this. Maybe he gets some sort of kick out of it because Lovestruck in the City was the same simp story but what made it reasonable was that both ML and FL had no history before their meet up so it was acceptable. This drama is somehow worse because we have a almost 40 year old ML who is still going to simp around the FL who only came back because she got played by her bf and wanted to hide from the press till she can solve it.
i just hope for one thing and that is ML not being simp for her!! like i had enough of this!! its so unrealistic…
That's because dramas are consumed generally by girls. That's the target group and the screen writer is also a female. It's the female fantasy of always having a simp who have nothing going on in his life than simp around for the FL as a backup in case of need. You could see this plot coming from a mile away from the synopsis which is why I didn't even bother to touch it. I thought Ji Chang Wook was a well established actor. surely he can get better roles than this.... This is the kind of role suitable for a rookie ML and an established FL.
im sorry, what? 🤭he hasn't chased after her. He made a big mistake, she gave him one last chance to come clean…
You really should read comment and understand what it says before wasting others time. There is a part in my comment where I include "(He should)" which if you had read could have avoided this whole response. So next time take your time and read through it.
It seems to me you are an Elaine Zhong anti with your comment. Not only it is preposterous but also a blatant…
I ain't reading all that but for the first bit if the actress you mentioned have similar plot selection then I'd guess it the same. I wouldn't know since I haven't watched any of them. on a side note there is no problem with the ML chase Fl since it's the norm especially with certain writers *cough* (have no issue with it) but shows usually balance the chemistry towards the halfway part of the show or reverse it towards the end instead of making the viewers sit through and watch what is equivalent of 40 hrs story of peer pressured prom sex. Here we have a catastrophically one sided relationship with XZY/YJ and a milder version of the same with XS and JH and it's too late to save it.

1. Seems you a fangirl because I could care less about Elaine Zhong. I would hold the same opinion if you put any other actress in her place as well. 2. Her being reluctant/ not showing interest is really semantics since to the viewers it's about 35 episodes of ML chasing a not so interested FL lead. You can justify for her however you want. 3. Watched about 10 episode of The Furthest Distance at its the same crap where the ML and SML chase her 24/7 365 days while she being traumatised/scared/"reluctant" or whatever the hell that makes you feel better.
Starting to see a trend that Elaine Zhong only likes script that has at least two MLs chasing behind her at all times like a dog. If this XS/JH couple had a normal balance from the start up to this point then you could have tolerated XS running around for forgiveness (he should) but this whole show up to this point has been XS chasing an not so interested JH in the first place so at some point it get's really tiring to watch. I hope XS sell the company for a profit and move on. JH can start a relationship with GY like she always wanted to and XZY can get lost for all I care.
The millionth drama where a rich CEO simps over a FL who "kind of" likes the ML. ML deserves better because that conversation in the car around halfway through the episode showed that her whole attitude towards the ML is "IT IS WHAT IT IS" or sort of like an unserious fling.
What separates a bad actress from good one is that one is a robot and the other can freely add something cool…
Her character had no leeway whatsoever to do that. Her character was written as a timid, well mannered woman who likes normalcy and she portrayed exactly that. Hate the character not the actress.
It's an above average series which is worth the watch. Don't listen to these FL criticism in the comments. She acted to what the character was given. They are just mad the FL wasn't girl bossing as much as they would've liked it to be.
I mean these are written by female writers to crater to female audience. It's basically their wet dream turned into drama. Your classic hyper successful career woman who's only headache is choosing who to date. It is what it is...
Preaching?? Putting domestic violence in the forefront of society, having real conversations, that is preaching?…
Nobody want's to be lectured on domestic abuse man. Almost everyone knows it's immoral and illegal not to do it and if there are people who does do domestic abuse they certainly ain't the demographic that watches "sweet and cold" to get revelation all of a sudden. So why don't you tone down your grandstanding a bit....
oh btw not only is there no punishment for the trashy evil character, she also shows ZERO remorse up to the last…
You lost your credibility the moment you tried to even vaguely compare Business proposal to this. It literally has a depression tag on it which means this show by design is supposed to be slow. You can't watch a very niche melodrama and expect it to flow like a business proposal and finally you are among the very few who think there was no chemistry between the leads and maybe that's the reason you couldn't sit through it because the entire show is basically a slowburn romance that worked on screen only because how good the ML and FL looked together.
I'm so confused as to why the overall ratings are very meh but the reviews are mostly positives and full of praises
Because this is sort of a niche genre. It's a melodrama but is character based instead of usual plot based. So the people who like this kind of genre will love it to bits because this show is absolute masterclass in terms of how well it's done. People who doesn't like this genre will hate it because they will feel it's too slow. Also this is not meant to be binge watched. Plus it's Disney release so it wasn't that popular.
There is a bit of a drag in terms of unnecessary kids story line but after watching 4 episodes of awful subtitles it changes your perspective and pisses you off which in turn heavily affects the opinion on the show. I suspect that's the case.
