Is this that bad?
It's not bad but the subtitles are so much worse that it turned people off from watching it.

The rating should be way higher than what it is. This is a really hard genre to pull off and so far they have done it masterfully. Perfection from both ML and FL.

Probably the best drama of 2023 so far and it’ll be hard for future dramas to live up to this level of quality.…
I don't think these comparisons are valid. This is much more of a character centric show than a plot centric one. Less "events" happening.

I mean they explain the reason for the characters objective. ML suffered from mild depression and was sleepwalking life and FL is a bit of a weirdo when pissed off which was explained at the start through a flash back story. They didn't really have to work script wise to create chemistry as just putting the ML and FL in front of camera did the work.

I heavily disagree with you on the chemistry part because I think chemistry is absolutely stellar and the acting of the leads is the most influential part of why this has been fun to watch so far. That being said I also hate sad or open endings and I also feel like the writer is going to split them up in the end and "call it love" *ba dum tsss*. If that's the case I won't watch the finale so I can leave with the good bits lol.

What are you talking about? His agency, himself or both are doing great! He could've just stayed playing the same…
I think you misunderstood me. What I meant to say is he is one of very few male lead Korean actors that has ridiculous amount of range to his acting. What I'm trying to say is for his looks+acting he should have been already among the very top level of male leads if he was fortunate with the projects. He can also masterfully pull off subtle acting unlike the current crop of male superstars (who I won't name) that regularly plays either Angry/cold/happy and the ones where they did try subtle acting ended up looking awkward.

Whichever agency is responsible for Kim Young Kwang should be criminally prosecuted for incompetence. The guy has all the tools and incredible acting skills (even better than some superstars who I won't name) to be a superstar and somehow he is not one yet. Absolute perfection of subtle acting so far.

I think the drama is trying to portray a different versions of love than the usual tv stuff. I believe so far it has been excellent as it's incredibly captivating to watch if you like this sort of genre considering the fact that its extremely hard to pull it off.
