News King the Land Review - ZyKuu
"A true smile comes from the heart" - The story is pretty bland but it does allow the viewer to follow easily. The trials and tribulations each character faces are easily comprehensible and eventually solved as the show progresses. Cheon Sa-rang is a kind hearted woman who chases her dreams as a kid of working in a hotel that she visited with her mother. Sa-rang not only is able to land a job at King Hotel but she is able to climb her way up the corporate ladder due to her professionalism and expertise in all departments. Gu-won is the Chairmans' son who owns said King Hotel. He had a rough upbringing as his mother was not there for him and his father was mainly focuses on his businesses. His goal at King Hotel is to change the culture and create a place where nobodies smile is a facade. Both Won and Sa-rang have a boss-employee relationship that eventually blooms into a relationship. Their romantic relationship is very healthy and endearing as they genuinely love spending time with each other. The sidecast was ok for the most part. I believe that No Sang-sik was the most memorable between the "six siblings". Sang-Sik was definitely the gag character and he performed well. Gu Hwa-ran was somebody who I wished was explored more because I felt her character was rushed during important plot points. The OST is playful and replayable. Overall, this show was very enjoyable and I recommend it to anyone who wants to watch a K-drama that will make you Hermes!
