Wow, this is incredible!!! Hopefully they get the chance to make it into a longer version or shoot another project in this constellation, I would totally love to see more!

Ok, the drama was definitely not perfect and had flaws (like the use of typical cliché tropes, and that it was too short, and that the brother's fate wasn't mentioned again, and that many parts were rushed, and that the plot definitely could have been more detailed, and...), BUT it also did so many things right!

The absolute best thing was the casting of Duan Jing Yi as the FL. I mean, we've all seen a lot of these sad dramas where FLs try to look like a man (spoiler: it never worked 🤦‍♂️). But this actress, in this short drama (!!), totally rocked it! She looked so good, both as a man and as a woman, so kudos to the casting team and the actress ❤️❤️❤️
(The ML is well know and well loved as well 😉)

One last thing: what was up with the picture on the bedside table? It totally ruined my focus on the plot lol

Ok sorry, I find ml’s character disgusting. It's just my own opinion, so don't feel offended, but a man like him who can't even openly stand by his wife (and repeatedly fails to distance himself from SFL, letting her kiss and touch him repeatedly while being married to another, even letting her be introduced as his wife in front of others and not being the one who clears that up later on) is a joke in my eyes. Afterwards he's not even angry at SFL but at SML, what a joke. In my eyes it just shows that he would have preferred to keep both women to himself to make it easy and comfortable for himself. Pathetic.

Honestly, I wish FL had just left and had a career of her own, she would have been 100 times better off and I could have liked the drama better.

I usually have a hard time with Thai dramas because they are often too overdramatic and silly. But still, I keep coming back and try out new ones (keeping an open mind and all) And I'm so glad I did!

Because in my opinion

Both actors did a very good job, it felt so awesomely authentic and overall, it created a warm and lovely atmosphere. I also really liked FL’s Dad (everyone should have him in his life ❤️😍❤️)

The only things I would have to criticize is
1. the change of focus in the second half: For me, the first half was mainly focused on the main couple which was perfect, while the second half spent too much time on everyone else, which was a shame, because I wanted to see so much more of the main character 🥲
2. The kisses 😅 I would have loved it if they had been as authentic as the rest of their acting 🤫😜

No, it's not really about misunderstandings, more about different opinions and wanting to protect the other I would say?🤔 Anyway, no love triangles or anything like that. For me, it's a really refreshing and unique xianxia ❤️ And YES, FL is super strong 😌

After 3/4 of the drama, when you start to think “ok, now he HAS to come to his senses and see reason”, it gets worse. Like, after he grabs her, strangles her and whatnot, he accuses her again with no proof (and after he already knows the sister is the bad guy) and takes her blood until she faints to save her sister (everyone knows this trope, but typically it's used at the beginning of a drama and not towards the end.... for good reason 😑)

Anyway, the only good thing about this drama is the ending, because FL finally leaves him after this stunt (thank God) and he's left alone in his depression (and will probably kill himself, but it's only hinted at)

So once again, for the sake of the two actors, just skip this mess please. Save yourself some time and watch a better story with them as leads 🥲.

Wow. Ok, everyone who is here because they love the male lead (like me), please don't bother with this drama and better skip it.

The plot is just bad. 3/4 of the drama was a repeat of the same tropes (with FL being blamed for everything for no reason, being kidnapped 5000 times, and just being treated badly by every person in this drama). I stayed anyway, but for a while it was kind of amusing and compelling AND because I thought it would be one of those dramas where the male lead comes to in the end, but nope.

Anyway, my recommendation would be to skip this one.

1. From what I understand, he helped Sana (the evil sister) trick the brother so that they (father and evil sister) could capture him, which led to his death.
2. It's the typical “I love my second wife and my second child more than my first wife's children” storyline. It happens a lot in Chinese dramas.. (he knows they are his children but he just doesn’t care for them anymore, because the first wife died and he moved on)
3. To your comment below: another typical drama trope. But honestly, overall I didn’t like this drama at all… the ending was the only satisfying thing about the whole story.. ML was so dumb. Which is he pity because I love the actor and he deserves better plots than this one 😤

I don't think you'll regret dropping it. I had other reasons why it didn't hold my interest, but by and large I felt the same way around episode 8 and I'm on episode 20 now because I've read that it gets better later. But so far I don't feel like it's gotten any better. I liked “Hidden Love” but this drama just isn't captivating me. People here just seem to have a problem accepting other opinions 🤷‍♂️
