Ok, I see there is a lot going on here, just a quick question: Did I understand correctly that the mains are not together at the end? Could someone please enlighten me?
If I may give you one piece of advice: don't watch this drama! It’s one of the worst narcissistic bullshit productions I’ve ever seen, no joke.
Let's talk about a red flag relationship (with a controlling, violent narcissist) 1. MI treats FL like his property (and r*pes her as he pleases) 2. he isolates her from any contact that might help her escape his control 3. when she wants a divorce, he says this is only possible if she pays him back money he knows she doesn't have (form of control) 4. he manipulates her, keeps her down, puts pressure on her, belittles her as forms to bind her to him
Oh, by the way, I forget the best part of the drama: ML has another woman. And not secretly, but in public, everyone knows it, including FL. And of course he treats the other like a human being and much better than FL, while FL is treated worse than a dog (and everyone just accepts it, like it’s the most normal thing in the world).
Seriously, that they even produced such crap makes me mad as hell.. If someone knows a Chinese drama in which the FL treats the ML like her property and treats him like a slave dog, please let me know, I’m eager to watch something different for once.
Oh wow, I liked the plot of this one the best because in my opinion, out of the 4 dramas with the same basic plot (see below), the characters in this drama did the best with the concept of the “wild dog” and the smart FL! (In case of dark and hot, the other 3 are a bit better thought.) I liked the added blind FL trope, as well as the thoughtful “ML needs FL's help because he grew up the way he did” trope!!!! Also, this is the only one of the 3 stories where FL doesn't seem overly cruel with her scheming towards ML
Side note on the 4 similar dramas: it's definitely worth watching at least 3 out of 4. Only 2 of them have the exact same plot, the other 3 are different enough to make them all interesting.
My personal ranking of the 4 similar dramas: 1. Xing Gan Chong (Very well done plot, actors are excellent! It’s a bit less dark and violent than the others. Especially the hotness is a bit lacking, but that’s ok) 2. Lost in the Midnight (great ML!!! He embodied the “wild dog” very well imo. The storyline was also nice to watch, was hot dark and 🔥) 3. You you lu ming (my 3rd place because the ending was a hilarious mess that wasn't very well thought out. But ML without his shirt was a feast for the eyes lol) 4. Cuo Liao (Feels like the rough version. It's exactly the same plot as Lost in Midnight, but the acting is flat and lacks emotional depth. The production style also seems to be the most basic)
Exactly the same story as “Lost in the Midnight”, only the actors are different.
Personally, I would recommend “Lost in the Midnight” because the ML did a great job, the overall style was better and it wasn't as emotionally flat as “Cuo Liao”.
Oh my god, the ending is hilarious! One second a person is near death, the next the person is standing again and able to endure several hours of knife fights (until it gets dark outside), then suddenly the person can't walk anymore, and so on, the writers obviously wanted as much drama as possible at the end and didn't bother with the meaning anymore lol
... but honestly, seeing the ML shirtless was totally worth it 🤣😂
Ok, aside from the absurd ending, this drama was right up my alley. It's dark, violent and hot, I really liked it 😋❤️ (And both leads were gorgeous and did a great job)
The product placement is hilarious! I mean, she just escaped death, wakes up in the hospital and the first thing she does is put eye cream on, are you kidding me? 🤦♂️😂🤣
At first I thought it was a bit too silly, but over time it won me over! 1. I love the ML, he's so handsome! And I really like that he's the more vulnerable one 😁. 2. I also love the strong but sweet FL (her stupidity is just a bit tiring) 3. The plot is very interesting and different which is refreshing 4. Some of the humor is really funny 5. The dog is so cute 😍. 6. I just wish it was a bit longer, I wanted to see them develop a bit more romantically (living together as a couple, maybe have kids or something)
This story is certainly different, quite refreshing in my opinion.
ML is a playboy who enjoys life, and FL makes a deal with his mom to “tame” him.
1. I really like the clothing style in this drama 2. ML and FL are both worth watching 3. the plot is interesting but sometimes a bit silly (FL should really go to a doctor about her weak legs, seeing how she is able to trip over air and fell 3 times lol)
Such a sweet drama!! 1. it's mostly about kissing 😋. 2. ml is a fabulous actor and just looks good all around ❤️ 3. it's a shame this drama is so short. The basic plot is interesting enough and it would have been nice to see it in a more detailed version
The ML is f*cking handsome and a feast for my eyes, but sadly, the plot isn’t worth it. The ending in particular just sucks. (Don’t keep reading if you don’t want to know!) After XY years of leaving FL, ML just comes back like it's the most normal thing in the world. And FL just goes along with it. Right. Totally normal 🙄
I loved the general idea of this drama and the actors were great, BUT....
I'm so pissed.
They set up the relationship perfectly up to a point and then it just didn't progress, leaving it at a level of very good friends and deep companionship, but nothing more. They completely tuned out any kind of sexual physical chemistry and intimacy. There was ONE very poorly acted and obviously fake kiss in a drunken state and nothing else. Did they loathe the idea of these two actors being together too much or what? They didn't even hint at anything more, no pregnancy, nothing. Are you kidding me?
That was the biggest disappointment for me and totally missed the basic idea of the plot in my opinion.

What a great drama, Japanese storylines are always my favorite.

Thanks for telling me, I really appreciate it 🫶
