I watched all 4 episodes and it exceeded my expectations. I'm enjoying every moment of it, especially that scene from episode three! 😂 If you're a PA fan, you'll know exactly what scene I'm referring to. I really had a good laugh! I really believe LGX's acting has improved even more than before. Who would have thought I'd be so invested in his chemistry with the CGI chicken... I mean Phoenix! The chemistry between Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin is better than ever; I'm thrilled they reunited! The drama is closely following the novel, almost play by play!

Shake fist at them!!! It's okay at least we got them pairing again! So surprise and still can't believe it after 7 years lol. Let's watch sista!

In the novel no. She fell in love with him, but didn't get to spend til old age with him, she was captured back to the demon world and prison for +++years, I think it was 100 years or something.

She finds out middle of the novel. He dies human form of old age, then he comes back as his true form. She didn't think they were the same person but she's smart female leads she eventually figures it out. She doesn't feel betrayed because she understands the process of reincarnation. The story is good so you won't be frustrated.

Lol just try to watch 1 or 2 eps of dramas... But nowadays nothing is making me want to binge-watched.

They first meet when he was in human form. He is the reincarnation of the last ancient god. He was bored, so he wanted to experience the human world. I read the novel 2 years ago, and if I remember correctly, his memories were still intact because he was very powerful, but his human form was very weak.

It's a different drama, with a different genre and characters. However, Lin Geng Xin and the director mentioned in an interview that they will add in some PA elements in the drama to help with closure. I can't wait to see what they will have in store!
