It’s so funny how most BL watchers find Hira annoying, but here I am, fully supporting these two because they’re absolutely crazy about each other. I’m rewatching Utsukushii Kare right now, and I can’t get over the cinematography, the comedy, and Hira’s completely unhinged personality. Yes, I know, I’m just as insane.
I originally planned to rewatch the JBLs I’ve seen before, and this series came to mind. Looking back, I realized I didn’t fully understand them the first time, so watching it again to grasp their emotions better was totally worth it. Now I can see how deeply they love each other, despite how chaotic, especially Hira, their dynamic is. What’s even more beautiful is that Kiyoi still loves Hira, weirdness and all.
Rewatching makes you notice all the little moments, the growth, the unspoken feelings, and just how real their connection is. At this point, I don’t even know what to say anymore. All I know is that this series is stunning. Also, Hira’s ridiculousness is everything, I’m actually living for it, lmfao.
